Easter

Beej & Chris

Despite dad's attempts at trying to prevent the ever fun Easter egg dying experience- mommy insisted and the kids painted their eggs.
Daddy was a good sport though and helped a lot with setting it up and making it fun for the kids.
Sure there were a few spills- but the kids had a blast
We took the kids afterwards to Grandma and Grandpa Scott's house.

This post reminded me that I didn't ever talk about hurting my back. Here is a real quick recap:
The week prior I took a Zumba class, had my trainer at the gym strengthen my back with various exercises, and then was lifting couches at a storage unit I bought. The following Sunday/Monday my back started hurting pretty bad. It kept getting worse- so I went to the doctor. I got a few medications and then took off work. The following week I went into work two days in a row and ended my last shift in soo much pain- and by the time I got home I fell to the ground it was so so so painful. I took another few days off of work and then had it start hurting again. FINALLY I went to a chiropractor who told me the reason why I kept re injuring it was because my back was out of place- so he fixed me right up. And that is why in the next picture I am holding my back as I am helping my kids find Easter eggs.

Anyway back to Easter fun. The kids had a blast looking for eggs. Pumpkin and Uncle Nate hid some of the eggs pretty hard- but everyone had a good time finding them.

So these are a little out of order- here is what the Easter Bunny brought the kids

Kaylee went crazy finding the eggs in the front room, while Connor grabbed a few and heard there was something inside...and when he found out that 'something' was candy- he was pretty much done with the hunt :)

Grandma Tenney sent the kids Easter cards that had stickers in them. The kids LOVED it!

All dressed up in their new Easter outfits

Kaylee's Easter dress should have been washed before she wore it- because we got glitter EVERYWHERE Sunday ha ha

Here is the Saturday before Easter traditional Woods Cross Easter fun!
Easter Hunt (yep this is the 3rd one so far- we had another one at Great Grandma Scott's too)

Kierston and her kids came too!

Traditional Easter bunny Family Picture :)
Kaylee hopped right up there, but Connor wasn't so sure and there was a line so we just took the family picture instead of putting Connor on the bunny for an individual picture.

In the Elementary gym they have crafts, cake walks, and little games for the kids

So fun! :-)

Roasting S'mores and Connor Potty Training

Beej & Chris

Because we have the coolest dad ever- we had family home evening outside as we roasted marshmallows by the fire. Daddy set up all the chairs and right when mom got back from visiting teaching we started our marshmallow fun!
 The kids had a blast!

And who can beat yummy, sticky, marshmallows?!

We did have one sad incident (no pictures were taken) that we need to document. Kaylee's poor little pink bear fell into the fire but luckily mommy saved the bear and all the bear encountered was a little burned ear. It was pretty traumatic for all, but we learned from this experience to keep our hands, fingers, and stuffed animals clear away from the fire for next time :)

 POTTY TRAINING??!?
No- not really.

Connor just hears his sister say she has to go potty all the time- so he started saying it as well. Kaylee had started potty training at 18 months, but she was a lot more ready than Connor is now. But since he asked and I thought it was a good idea- daddy pulled the potty down and we let Connor boy sit on it whenever his little heart desires.

He loves it and will even wipe his little bum after sitting there- but mostly he sits there whenever mommy goes potty and that is okay with me. We will keep watching him and when the time is right than we will start the official training- but for now this is perfect.
