Best Husband EVER!

Beej & Chris

I know you all think that you have the best husband in the world....but you don't...cause I DO! BJ will do anything for me! Before I can even think to ask him for help- he is already on his feet willing and ready.
I have known this for a long time but today has just been extra special. BJ brought the spirit into our home so strong with the family home evening lesson he planned.
I had written a list of things I needed to get done before our big vacation to South Dakota and when I got home from work he had already done two out of the three things.
Every morning BJ wakes up- reads the scriptures, does dishes, gets his lunch and breakfast read, and then comes and gives me a kiss goodbye.
Whenever I am tired or stressed about something. BJ will say, "Don't worry about anything today. Just enjoy yourself and relax."
LOL BJ just barely got back from the store buying a new belt for our vacuum. He fixed the vacuum and put away my mess from making myself a snack without even thinking about it and then apologized for being so long at the store!
Before I can even think to put something away- he has already done it. After dinner is over and I turn around to clean up..BJ has already finished.
I have some pretty bad knee problems and BJ has been right there with me through it all. If he even thinks my knees are hurting me. He will run up and down the stairs to get whatever I need.
BJ is an amazing father to Kaylee. He loves to spend time with her and is always taking time to teach her something. Kaylee LOVES to hear BJ sing to her. She starts crying as soon as he stops. I feel so blessed to have BJ in my life. I don't even want to think how different my life would be without him.

4 Months Old!

Beej & Chris

Kaylee is now 4 months old!! I took her to the doctor yesterday. Here are her stats:

Length: 24 1/2 inches-------60%

Head Circumference: 16 1/2 inches-----75%

Weight: 14.3 lbs------60%

I always hate taking Kaylee to get her shots but she did really well this time. I fed her right after the shots and she was all smiles as we were making our next appointment. The receptionist couldn't believe she had just received her shots.

Doesn't Kaylee look soo big in this photo

FINALLY a picture to show you all the smiles she gives. I LOVE it!

Kaylee really enjoys stroller rides. She just sits back and relaxes.

Kaylee was playing and I found this. She had pulled the toy down on top of her but was still all smiles.

"Mom- that girl looks like me!"

"Yeah! A friend just like me!"

"She has fingers like me"

"I don't know mom. I think she has a stinky diaper"

Kaylee has been working on sitting up by herself and is getting better and better at it. She is also scooting on her tummy. She gets onto her knees but just can't figure out how to get on her hands at the same time.

Kaylee found her toes a few weeks ago and loves to play with them.

After a lot of patience and hard work- Kaylee now takes the bottle. She likes it really warm but she grabs at it and even hold it for a few minutes herself.

Kaylee is so fun. Yesterday at Pack Meeting there was this little 4 year old boy who kept climbing a fence and jumping off right in front of Kaylee. Kaylee was laughing sooo hard. She laughed for about 10 minutes. Everyone around was laughing cause it was so contagious. Kaylee really loves to watch little kids. She loves it when they point at her and run around making faces at her- it just makes her laugh.

We are starting Kaylee on rice cereal today. I can't wait! She has been grabbing at our food for awhile now. I just wanted to wait till she was at least 4 months old.

Kaylee has been rolling over for awhile now. We just haven't got it on camera yet. She still sleeps around 7 or 8 hours a night. When people meet Kaylee we often hear "Wow- she is so bright eyed" and "She is such a happy baby". We couldn't agree more. We love our bright eyed happy baby

COUSINS!!!

Beej & Chris

Can I just say..Cousins are soo much fun!! I got the wonderful opportunity when I was growing up to spend a lot of time with my cousins. We grew to be really close friends and are still today. BJ and I are so excited that Kaylee gets to have this same opportunity. The following pictures are of my family and the cousins she has on the "Scott" side. Kaylee also has a lot of cute/fun cousins on the "Tenney" side..with a new one on the way in July!!
From L-R. In the back is Brooklyn (almost 2 yrs) and Carson (almost 4 yrs with his cheesy smile). In the front is Desiree (1 1/2 weeks old) Kaylee (4 months), and Logan (1 month old).

Yes- Kaylee does look HUGE next to these newborns!

MIRACLE

Beej & Chris

A terrible..terrible accident happened in our neighborhood this last friday. A sweet 6 year old girl named Saige was playing outside in her backyard on her swingset and her scarf got tangled up and she ended up hanging herself on the slide. Her mom found her, cut her down and performed CPR. Lifeflight landed in our neighborhood and rushed her to Primary Children's hospital where she is now. It is only wednesday and Saige is doing AMAZING. The Primary presidency sent out e-mails to let everyone know so we could pray for her and her family. We seriously witnessed a miracle. Saige was awake and talking the very next day. It is just amazing and such a miracle. When I was a primary teacher, I taught the 5 year olds and on occasion Saige's class would join our class. She seriously is the cutest girl, so sweet and loving. From what I hear, Saige has a fever the doctors are watching as well as a few motor delays but other than that is recovering quite rapidly. But prayers are always needed. I can't even imagine how tramadic this was for Saige's mother who found her. Please join me and pray for this family!

Memorial day memories

Beej & Chris

On Memorial day I got asked to do a diabetic visit for one of the nurses that had strep throat. I went to see a patient that I have been taking care of since I started with Life Path Home Health. He is in his 90's and the cutest old man. I went in and got all my supplies ready to check his sugar and give him his insulin. He said, "today is decoration day right?" We got to talking about memorial day and when I asked him if he had any plans that day, he told me that his niece was going to go put some flowers on his previous wife's grave, "the temple marriage one" he said. I could see a tear in his eye. I told him that she sounds like a really amazing person and I wish I could have met her. He just looked at me and said, "I am ready to visit her myself". As tears are rolling down my eyes I quickly gather my stuff and walk out the door. I don't usually get soo emotional. I just thought it was so neat to see the love he has for his wife and the fact that he know he will see her again. It was just so sweet. It made me want to run home to BJ and give him a HUGE hug.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BJ

Beej & Chris

BJ is now officially a quarter of a century old!! He is pretty excited that he doesn't have to pay extra to rent a car now :) Since his birthday fell on memorial day and we already had plans to go to Lagoon with the Tenney's; we decided to celebrate a little early at my parents house. My dad made a homemade chocolate cake and some yummy steaks. We had fun playing games and just hanging out.
My parents and I went in on a 16 foot ladder for BJ and BJ's mom bought him a weed eater. I also surprised him with some new sandles. Needless to say he was pretty excited for all his fun presents. BJ Never...NEVER asks for ANYTHING. So when he told me that he wants a ladder and/or a weed eater. I just had to let everyone know so we could all go in on it together. BJ is an amazing person always serving others. In fact he has a hard time letting anyone else serve him. I am just so grateful for BJ and hope his birthday weekend was special.

Here are a few fun pictures. This is Kaylee and her new cousin Desiree. Wow- Kaylee is HUGE!

Kaylee is getting soo big. In a high chair for the first time. She played while we played games for BJ's birthday.

Here is my man! We got to go to Lagoon on BJ's official birthday. Isn't he a stud.

My little bro and the far left next to me on my favorite ride- Samurai.

Ha ha. BJ on the Wild Mouse. Apparently the kids in front really really wanted to be in the front. The little girl was screaming and her brother kept saying.."stop that". So BJ kept his hands up and screamed the whole way. By the time the ride was over- the boy joined in. Look at him with his hands up looking at BJ. :-)

Getting ready to ride the Samurai.

I know this is a picture of BJ's butt- but it is so cute. ;) We went to lagoon-a-beach but..it was FREEZING. So this is as far as we went.

Kaylee sporting her new swimming suit. It is a 6 month swimming suit, but it fits perfectly. Now I wanna go swimming with her soo bad!

She loves her sunglasses!

This is where Kaylee hung out while we were at Lagoon. She did AWESOME. Not going to lie, I was kind of nervous to bring her. But she did really well, and we had a lot of fun. BJ and I just took turns watching Kaylee while the other went on rides.

BJ with his dad, my little brother, and his sister waiting in line for WICKED. He eventually got me to go on it. It was pretty fun!

All in all I think it was a great weekend. We had a lot of fun. I am sure BJ is excited for this next weekend so he can pull out all of his new toys! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BJ!
