Temple and embarassing story...

Beej & Chris

I LOVE the temple. I love the comfort you feel after you have gone to the temple and the peace it brings into your life. BJ and I have made a goal to go to the temple once a week. Not going to lie, sometimes it is really hard to take the time out to go and BJ is usually the one who sets the example and helps us get there. Sometimes the week is super busy and we dont have time for a session so we will just do some initiatories. Well last week we did initiatories and one of the workers smiled at me and said, "when are you due?". I don't know why but it made me sooo happy! When BJ and I were walking to the car I said to him, "BJ- they noticed. I didn't even know you could tell with the temple clothes. But someone noticed I was pregnant!" Today I went by myself because BJ had already gone with the YM for baptism's for the dead earlier in the week; and another worker said, "When is your little baby going to come?" YEP same joy! I know this is silly but I really wanted to remember this feeling and this experience. Sometimes pregnancy is hard with the emotions, having to pee all the time, the heart burn, and the lower back pain; so simple things like this just make me smile :D

OK- now for the embarassing story. I just started working as a LPN at a homehealth agency and when I was training I got stuck with a needle. I decided to call my manager and find out the protcol of what my next step was. My manager's name is Cassie. After getting the courage up to call, I dial Cassie's number. Here is how the conversation went....

Me: Hey, is this Cassie?
Cassie: Ya. How is it going Christie?
Me: I am good. I just wanted to let you know that today while I was at so and so's house I got stuck with a needle and wanted to know what the protocol was. If I needed to fill out an incident report. I have a doctor's appointment in a few days so I can just get tested then. I wasn't sure who to tell, so I thought I would call you.
Cassie: oh no. Are you ok? Who did you go see? Do you need me to do something?
Me: I am fine. I am not worried. I just wanted to make sure I completed the paperwork and followed the companies policy.
Cassie: Ok..Umm what can I do for you. Do you need a ride? Are you ok?
Me: umm...who is this?
Cassie: This is Cassie your visiting teaching partner! Are you ok?
Me: (wanting to just hang up the phone with embarassment) I am fine. I umm called the wrong Cassie.

OH Man. I know this probably doesn't sound that embarassing to you. But it was probably one of my most embarassing stories and BJ told me I needed to document it so here it is. Poor Cassie was so concerned. She was like, "why are you telling ME this". LOL! It is funny now but it definitely was not then.

The Nursery in Progress.....

Beej & Chris

I have been busy working on the babies room for quite some time now. I have been waiting to post pictures until I have finished but it is taking me some time to finish because I am a perfectionist. SO....here is a little preview of what I (with the help of my friend rosalee, BJ, and my mom) have completed so far.

I got the idea from HGTV.com. We still have a lot to do but hopefully it will be complete soon! I still need to finish painting the dresser, the diaper changer, and the crib but I think I should be finished by the end of this month which is good cause I am getting more and more tired as the weeks go by with this pregnancy.

Speaking of the pregnancy. Things are going really good. I LOVE feeling the baby move around. It is always a comfort to me when I feel her move. I really can't complain too much, I have been super blessed with this pregnancy. I have had a few episodes of heart burn but a little tums goes a long way :)

As far as other updates go. BJ is working harder than ever with his job and his calling as assistant scout master in the

ward. As soon as he gets home he goes straight to work on helping me paint and various projec

ts around the house. He has also gotten really into coupons lately. I will have to have him post some of the great deals he has gotten this past few weeks.

I finished precepting at PCMC a couple weeks ago and am counting down the days till I graduate in december! I started working as a LPN at a home health agency and am really enjoying it. It was pretty freaky at first saying the words "my name is Christie and I am your NURSE!" wow the responsibility that comes with that! But so far I have a few easy clients that is just enough to challenge me but not too ove
rwhelming for a first job as a nurse. I get paid per visit and most of my visits are here in bountiful which is nice!

Other than that we are doing well. Lots to do to keep us busy with the baby coming, the holidays, and school but
we are loving it and can't wait for our little girl to come!
