Sometimes you just need to surprise the kids and go to Chuckee Cheese for a night!

I think the kids favorite part was following Chuckee around the room and then dancing with him while waiting for him to throw out tickets. Kaylee shook her little tush pretty good.

We even caught Dad shaking his booty to the music as well. He says he was helping Ashlynn.....but we really know that he just wanted an excuse to dance too.

Yummy  Chuckee Cheese pizza ;) Okay, so their pizza isn't to die for. But the kids had fun getting out and spending time together as a family.

On a different day; the kids were downstairs playing dress ups. Here pictured is Connor in a ninja turtle outfit, but most of the time he is usually in a dress. He will even hide to put on a dress. He is definitely at the age of exploring.

I felt like this year we did a lot of Easter egg hunts. Too many if you ask me. But its so hard not to when there are so many friend and family ones planned. We talked a lot about Christ and his resurrection, so hopefully even though we did a lot of egg hunts that they remember the true reason for Easter. 

The first Easter egg hunt was done at Michelle Jamison's house in Wood Cross (our old neighborhood). They do a neighbor/friend hunt where everyone contributes 10 eggs per child and then Michelle and her husband hides them for the kids. Its fun because they don't just do treats. Their are bunny ears, toys, and drinks spread throughout the yard.

I couldn't get over how cute Ashlynn was getting her eggs. She was content with just picking up one or two. Everytime she would get so excited when she found one.

She even let us put on Easter Bunny ears and actually kept them on for a fair amount of time. I was quite surprised.

Connor can be shy at times, but I love when his personality comes out and he gives silly faces and sings along with everyone else. I can about guarantee if he is next to someone who is singing loud than he will join in. But if everyone is quiet then he will be quiet too. He is a lot like his mom in that regard. Kaylee on the other hand has so much confidence. She doesn't care if she is the loudest singer in the room, if she knows the song she is going to sing it loud and proud. She gets her confidence from her daddy.

We then went to an Easter hunt at my work at Pineview Transitional Rehab in South Ogden

They provide ham, potatoes, salad, and even little chicken meals for the kids.

One of the nurses named Brittney always dresses up in this pink bunny outfit. The kids like it and we usually snap a picture of them with her.

We let Ashlynn "paint" her egg. That is until she cracked it and was banging it around in her high chair. ha ha

We decided last minute to join in on the West Bountiful egg hunt because we had no plans that morning and why not.

This egg hunt was not the best and probably wont be one we go to again. Their were soo many kids and not very many eggs. The kids each got 2 or so eggs and Connor especially was super disappointed and overwhelmed by all of the kids. Its important for them to know that you don't always get a lot and even though it was not the best environment with kids grabbing and screaming we had a good teaching moment. Connor ran out and hadn't got any eggs. He was crying and overwhelmed. He didn't know where anyone was and didn't know what to do since all the eggs were being taken so fast. Kaylee without help from her mom or dad saw him upset, ran to him and gave him some of her eggs without even looking inside her eggs or knowing what she was giving. I almost cried watching this act of kindness because I knew it was hard for Kaylee since she hadn't gotten very many eggs herself. So overall it was a good experience and one that hopefully the kids learned from.

Pictures from Easter morning. Mom and Dad usually get the kids Easter outfits and this year the Easter bunny gave the kids each a big ball, church book, and some bubbles. It was perfect.

Ashlynn was a big fan of the jelly beans. Every egg she found she would shake and if it made a sound she would do all she could to get what was in that egg out and in her mouth!

Ashlynn grabbed her peeps and figured why eat one at a time. Might as well eat them all at once! It made me laugh so I had to snap a picture of it.

This was a picture of the kids right before church in their Easter outfits. Kaylee was sad because apparently "mom messed up her hair".

Obviously it wasn't intentional. But the sweet girl was so sad and wanted nothing to these pictures as you can see
