Cross E Ranch

Beej & Chris

My cousins Jodee and Crystal just recently lost their grandpa. He owned two different farms with one of them being here in NSL. When he passed away the farm was split between kids and my cousins obtained part of the farm. To make the farm profitable they opened it up to the public and called it Cross E Ranch. They just recently had their first fall festival that we were invited to come try out to give them feedback before they opened it up to the public.
Here we are enjoying the hay ride they have there.

They also had a place to Laso

and pet goats

Ashlynn wasn't so sure about the goat trying to eat her sock

The kids enjoyed playing on the hay and in the little kid hay maze

But one of their favorite places to play was in the kernal pit. They were filthy afterwards, but they had a blast.

BJ and I's favorite was probably the big Hay Maze. It was tall and hard to figure out, so we had fun getting lost in the maze as a family. We actually found some kids in there that had got lost that we helped get out.

They also sold pumpkins there which we ended up not purchasing because they had them priced pretty high. They got a lot of input on this so they decreased their prices.

We had a great time and can't wait to see how the festival is next year.

Getting ready to walk and playing with siblings

Beej & Chris

I just love this picture. BJ was watching the Ute Football game and Ashlynn in her Ute gear joined him. Nothing better than hanging out with dad!
Ashlynn has been loving playing with the kitchen, so we brought it into the front room. She likes to use it to stand with and is so close to walking all over the place.

The kids sure love playing with their new friend Evi who lives across the street. I had to snap some pictures when they were stuffing pillows in the shirts and pretending they were pregnant.

Even Connor was pregnant ha ha
Ashlynn LOVES playing with this train. She especially likes it when people give her a ride. It doesn't matter if someone is already on the train; she will just jump on with them.
Okay....maybe Kaylee helped her get on this time... ;)

Canning Tomatoes

Beej & Chris

This year was a difficult year in finding tomatoes. The last few years it was hard to find tomatoes before Labor day. But this year it was even hard ON Labor day Monday. BJ took the kids and tried to pick tomatoes for awhile and only got partial boxes.

Needless to say we didn't end up canning on Labor Day weekend like usual. I believe it was the week after we found some tomatoes in Willard that BJ drove to. They were a bit expensive but we really wanted to can some more chili sauce since it is favorite at our house. We did that and some tomato juice and called it a year. Hopefully next year we will get a little more.

Yep, I cut all these tomatoes while BJ was at work and with the kiddos. ha ha I was pretty impressed with myself.
