My cousins Jodee and Crystal just recently lost their grandpa. He owned two different farms with one of them being here in NSL. When he passed away the farm was split between kids and my cousins obtained part of the farm. To make the farm profitable they opened it up to the public and called it Cross E Ranch. They just recently had their first fall festival that we were invited to come try out to give them feedback before they opened it up to the public.
Here we are enjoying the hay ride they have there.
They also had a place to Laso
and pet goats
Ashlynn wasn't so sure about the goat trying to eat her sock
The kids enjoyed playing on the hay and in the little kid hay maze
But one of their favorite places to play was in the kernal pit. They were filthy afterwards, but they had a blast.
BJ and I's favorite was probably the big Hay Maze. It was tall and hard to figure out, so we had fun getting lost in the maze as a family. We actually found some kids in there that had got lost that we helped get out.
They also sold pumpkins there which we ended up not purchasing because they had them priced pretty high. They got a lot of input on this so they decreased their prices.
We had a great time and can't wait to see how the festival is next year.
