Putting up the Christmas Tree

Beej & Chris

A few days after Thanksgiving we decided to set up the Christmas Tree and get all ready for Christmas!!
My family always had such a fun tradition of setting up the tree, that I always look forward to it and now that we have young kids it is even more fun.
Kaylee and Connor are such great helpers

We got this prelit tree the first year we got married and have been using it ever since. It is pretty small and I would eventually like something different but for now it works just fine for our family.

Setting up the nativity. We sure love having this to setup every year. Thanks Papa Bruce and Grandma Sherry! :)
Dad organizing all the ornaments by year

The first ornament is of course BJ and I's first ornament as a married couple. Awe how sweet.

Kaylee got to put up her ornament
This years ornament we got from Disneyland (more about that later) to represent our big vacation of the year.

Awe I love this picture. Kaylee looks like a little doll!
Putting all the bows and colorful ornaments on the tree.

Connor was in awe of all the lights

He even helped daddy put on some ornaments- well sorta ;)

Dad being the smart guy- set up a gate to prevent the kids from taking down all the ornaments we set up. What a great idea!
Putting the star on the tree. Next year it is Connor's turn!
Awe and our traditional family picture by the Christmas tree after it is all decorated. Yay!

Thanksgiving

Beej & Chris

Thanksgiving this year was spent at Papa Bruce and Grandma Sherrie's
It was so warm outside the kids got to play in the backyard without jackets on even!
We got spoiled and had traditional turkey as well as deep fried turkey. They were both soo good!
Kaylee sure had fun helping Papa cook. She sure loves her Papa and follows him around wherever he goes whenever we are at his house.
When you are waiting to eat what do you do? Entertain yourself with olives on your fingers of course
.
BJ got the job of carving the turkey. He did a great job.

All the boys
The missionaries joined us this year
Kaylee and uncle Spencer

Grandma Sherrie hard at work making amazing food for everyone. Everything was soo good- it makes me hungry just thinking about it. :D

Say CHEESE ;)

After a great Thanksgiving day we headed up and put the kids to bed and I went out black Friday shopping while BJ headed to bed. BJ then went shopping in the morning while the kids and I got ready to go to Idaho to visit great grandma and grandpa Scott.
I LOVE my grandparents and love visiting them. I wish they didn't live so far away. The kids had fun. I didn't get too many pictures but we stayed till later that night visiting and playing games with my grandma. I didn't get very many pictures so these are from that evening when everyone had already left. Kaylee and Connor were tired and that is why Connor keeps hiding ha ha
At the end of the night we let Kaylee watch a show and play on the Ipad for a little while before we headed home
My cute grandparents!

Chillin' in my grandma's chair. It was heated and would massage your back- no wonder she loves this chair! :)
Sure do love Thanksgiving. BJ and I feel overwhelmed with the many blessing we have I wouldn't even know where to begin to say what I am grateful for- because I am grateful for so much. But to name a few (our kids, warm house, two amazing jobs, great friends, amazing family, a working car, the gospel of Jesus Christ and the gift of the Holy Ghost that we can feel whenever we are in need of comfort).
