Baby kicks

I talked to my old manager at PCMC in the ICS unit (cancer unit) because a lot of the nurses up there keep telling me to apply and work there when I finish.
* I used to work in the ICS unit 2 about 2 1/2 years ago and am still good friends with the staff up there. I even saw a pt's family this last week that I had taken care of- so that was fun!
So I just wanted to touch base with her and see what the options were for a job when I graduate. She was excited I was interested in coming and gave me all the info on when to apply and what I needed to do to get started there. BUT today I had a feeling I should go talk to her again and discuss my pregnancy and see what kind of policies they have on new grads and hours. I guess Primary childrens have a policy that new grads have to work full time for one year in order to get hired on. :( BJ and I have talked about it and just don't feel like that is what I should be doing right now with the baby. So she gave me her info and told me to keep in touch with her and let her know what I want to do. Then if I chose to go back there later I could get started on there. I LOVE kids and I really enjoyed the ICS unit. It will be sad not to go back there right after I graduate but I feel like something else is out there that will work better for me, BJ and our daughter. :)
Speaking of our daugher...she is moving around like crazy right now. Late at night is my favorite. I think I put her to sleep with all the walking and now that I am sitting here quietly she is wide awake and kicking. I just saw my belly move a little- it was SOOO FUN! Who knew something so simple would make you so happy! Things have been going really good. I have found that I need to elevate my legs more so I don't get kankles but other than that no complains right now. I feel very blessed and am just hoping she is doing good and staying healthy!

I have really enjoyed feeling the baby kick and move around, and cant wait till BJ can feel it! It is wierd seeing my belly grow...cause I still can't believe I am pregnant and have a person growing in my tummy. I honestly say or think the words "I am pregnant, really?!" EVERYDAY! It is just crazy and amazing and overwhelming and exciting all at 0nce.
Sometimes I will see a baby and just want our baby girl to be here right now! And then sometimes I think about the actual process of having the baby and I get scared to death. I have seen a few babies delivered in my clinicals in school but it still freaks me out. I worry all the time that I am not doing all the things I am supposed to for the baby, and that something will happen to the baby. But I have been comforted over and over again which has really helped. I am nervous for the future and if I am going to know how to teach my kids the important things, and if I am going to have the patience I need each day.
I am having a lot of fun getting things ready for the babies room and enjoy the projects I am working on...but get overwhelmed and tired easy so I just take it one day at a time. Luckily I have amazing support and love from BJ, my family, and friends that it has not been too bad.
Not a fan of acid reflux and feel for those that deal with this on a daily basis.
Like I said, I have had a lot of emotions over the past couple weeks (good ole' hormones) and I just thought I would write a few of them down. Thanks for listening or reading. :)

BEST Husband in the WORLD
Beej & Chris
A few weeks ago, BJ came home with my being frustrated and onry. I had been trying to pass a specific NCLEX quiz that day and was frustrated and felt like I hadn't gotten much done that day. BJ pulled out the laptop and played this music and started dancing with me in the kitchen.
I just started crying. I was having a bad day and was being onry to him, but instead of BJ letting it get to him...he just took it on himself to make the day a better one.
Throughout nursing school and recently the emotions that come with pregnancy. BJ has been constantly patient and loving. When I have a crazy craving late at night he just smiles and says "lets go get it!". When I went through the period of not wanting to eat anything, he would continue to name things until something sounded ok enough to try to eat. He made me homemade chicken noodle soup when I was sick with the cold and is always doing anything he can to make me life better. BJ gives plasma twice a week to help save money for the baby. He is always making sure I am taken care of and is never thinking of himself.
I really could go on and on but I just want him to know how much I appreciate all that he has been doing. BJ you are a wonderful husband and will be an amazing father! Thank you for all you do everyday!
