Project #1
Carseat Cover: This was one of my favorites! I love it and was so proud that I finally got brave enough to make it myself. The one we have for Kaylee; BJ's sister made. She said she would make one for Connor all I needed to do was get her the fabric and materials. Well it never happened so I finally just sat down and made it myself and totally love it. It really wasn't that difficult and turned out pretty cute.
Project #2
Binkie attachment: I don't have a picture for this. But I ended up making a few binkie attachments which were pretty easy as well. They are cheap and a great thing to add to a few swaddle blankets as a baby shower present.

Project #3
Angry Birds Costume for BJ: I found a sweet website http://theclockblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/angry-birds-costume-instructions.html and decided I just had to make one of these costumes. Originally I was just going to do something simple one a t-shirt but with Joann's coupons the big costume ended up only costing $12 so I just couldn't pass up the opportunity.

I thought it would only take me a few hours....12 hours later ha ha I finally finished it. It shouldn't have taken that long, but I was having trouble with my sewing machine.

This is right before I finished it...you will have to see the totally finished photo on the halloween post when BJ is wearing it. This was before I got all the stuffing worked out so the feathers on top aren't showing, not to mention I hadn't sewed the bottom piece together yet.

Project #4 & 5
Angry bird & Green pig (from Angry birds) t-shirt Costume for my brother Johnathon and his wife Kierston: This actually only took about an hour 1/2. Since I had already cut out a face for BJ's costume it was pretty easy to trace out another one. The pig took a little bit longer just because it was the first time but it wasn't too bad. I just kept asking BJ "does this look right?" until he thought it looked like the angry birds on the game.

They wanted to safe their shirts so I just safety pinned everything on the red shirt but ran out of time for the green one. So Kierston ended up just sewing that one on and it turned out pretty cool. It was fun to make!

Project #6:
Lady Bug Costume: Since I had so much leftover red felt from BJ's costume. I decided to throw together a lady bug costume for me. I just used my leftover red and black felt and hot glue that I had on hand and put it all together the night before we needed it. ha ha The worst part was that dang hot glue. I kept burning myself..but I finished it and am happy with the end result. I found the idea on this website: http://www.feltorama.com/

I just stuffed it with half of an old body pillow I had lying around and then safety pinned it to a black vest I had. I guess I did end up buying the black head band and black pipe cleaner but that wasn't too bad.

I think I will take a short break on projects for a little bit now.......
