We just went to play with cousins and Kaylee asked if Desiree could come over and play for a bit. So we put her in our car and headed home. On the way home Desiree and Kaylee had a few really interesting conversations with this one being one of them:
Desiree was talking about a time she went with her brother and her baby sister and Connor interrupted and said something like "I have a sister". Desiree quickly said, "you don't have a baby at your house like me". That is when I knew Kaylee would spill the beans....
Kaylee: "Des, I didn't believe it at first. This is really cool. But, my mommy has a baby in her belly"
Desiree: "really? Oh yeah my mommy had a baby in her belly"
Kaylee: "no. My mom has a baby in her belly"
Desiree: "Yeah, long time ago my mom had a baby in her belly and she got it out"
Kaylee:"My baby isn't ready. She is going to grow in my moms belly and I get to feel when it kicks. Yeah it will be cool".
Desiree: "Oh, how will they get the baby out?"
Kaylee:"The doctor has to check her"
Desiree: "They use his hands? The doctors hands to get the baby out?"
Kaylee: "No, I don't think they use hands but I don't know what they use".
Desiree: "Oh cool".
Ha ha ha- I was holding back all the laughter as I drove the girls to the house. I love hearing their conversations. They totally crack me up.
After their conversation Kaylee started talking to me about it. I told her that when the baby is bigger that she will be able to feel the baby kick. A few days later, Kaylee came and put her hand on my belly and asked if she could feel the baby. I told her it would be a little bit. I just love how excited she is. It is fun having her be so much older this time around.
Many people know that waiting for this pregnancy was very difficult. We had gone to the fertility doctor and were about to start medication when I had found out I was pregnant (which I miscarried). This was my second miscarriage and very difficult. I was then told by a nurse that I could start the fertility medication...and then was told by another nurse that I had to wait a few months after the miscarriage to start. I was very discouraged and ready to start this medication that first period after this last miscarriage. I felt strongly about it, but didn't want to have another miscarriage. I tried to e-mail and contact my fertility doctor who didn't call me back until a week later. Anyway, taking the medication has to be on a specific day in your cycle so I had to know what to do. I asked my friend Ashley who asked her mom (who is a midwife) if it was okay for me to start the medication since I couldn't get a hold of my doctor and was getting conflicting info from the nurses. She said it was okay and I felt okay with it- so we went ahead and started. I am SO glad I started that medication...otherwise we would not be announcing this pregnancy. Heavenly Father is definitely watching out for us. Feeling very grateful
