Santa Run

Beej & Chris

One of my new neighbors Brittney Walker joined me in running this Santa Run in Ogden right after Thanksgiving this year. We had invited a few other people but everyone flaked out. We laughed pretty good at the costumes we wore. Brittney's 10 year old (I believe) ran with us. We did a lot of stopping, but it was good because I was still out of shape. I was pretty impressed with how well she did.

It was funny to see so many santa's out running. The costumes were junky and ripped apart as we ran. We thought it was pretty funny.

The kids and BJ came to watch the race. It ended up being really cold with a cold breeze. Ashlynn had some sore ears so she was just screaming the whole time. They had a parade after the race, but Ashlynn was too miserable so we just walked back to the car. I felt so bad and didn't want to miss out on the parade, so we drove the car around and find a place to watch the parade in our car. It was a little stressful at first, but it ended good. BJ had packed a thermos with Hot Cocoa that made things all better ;)

SANTA!
We had told my sister Angela about the parade so they went and watched it in the cold. We met with them afterwards at McDonalds for some dinner while the kids played on the little playground.

Putting up the Christmas Tree

Beej & Chris

The day after Thanksgiving we came home from Great Grandma and Grandpa Scott's house in Idaho and put up the Christmas tree.

The kids got so excited to see all the Christmas boxes come inside the house. They kept wanting to get everything out. They loved all the Christmas books and the Nativity toy set.

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas"
We also pulled out the felt Christmas tree

Ashlynn liked pulling it all down after the kids put it on the tree

Each year we buy a new ornament, so when we put the ornaments on the tree we take turns putting the ornaments up. The kids love it.

They especially love the ornaments that represent when they were born.

Kaylee wants a Doc McStuffins Mobile Cart or a Robot Dog
Connor had me draw a dinosaur that he could color, because he was asking Santa for a Robot dinosaur.
Oh, he was also asking for a Bamax

I have been loving their pictures lately. They are too fun. Connor drew these pictures

Thanksgiving 2015

Beej & Chris

Preschool Thanksgiving Party for Connor

For Thanksgiving we went up to Idaho
It was such a fun time. I took a lot of notes on how they make the stuffing, how my grandpa makes the dressing and all the yummy food.

I sure love my grandparents and am so grateful we have been able to go see them often enough that Kaylee, Connor, and Ashlynn know who they are and LOVE going to see them.

Grandma playing with the kids

Yay, ready to eat. YUM!

My grandma's all famous Pumpkin Chiffon pie

This red boot cup was the cup we always fought over as kids. So fun they still have it.

Setting up the Christmas tree. Notice Connor's little bum sticking out while Hannah is letting him help.
