Halloween 2012

Beej & Chris

I didn't take a lot of pictures on Halloween night but here are a few from the day. We started out by going trick or treating in Colonial Square here in Bountiful with my sister and her kids and my neighbor Miranda and her little boy Takota; and yes we all squished in our new Pilot. Swwweeet.

BJ surprised us and got home early enough to join us; so he took a lot of the pictures.
We had fun and the kids got lots and lots of candy
Connor showing off his spoils..
I finally snatched the camera and snapped a picture of BJ. :)

Miranda visiting with the chiropractic office she used to work at
Kaylee was in heaven trick or treating with her best friend/cousin Desiree
Yep my costume was falling about by the end. I guess that's what you get when you make it from a $1 blanket from DI. :)

After Colonial square we decided to keep going and walk down Main Street. We only walked about half way and then started trick or treated our way back to the car.
This was kind of fun. BATMAN was up on the top of this building all dressed up just standing there so all the trick or treater's could see him.
Here are a few pictures from trick or treating in the evening. I decided next year we are only going to do Colonial square and not Main street because by this time the kids were almost done. The boys stayed at the house with BJ and my sister Angela and I took the girls out for some more trick or treating. After about a block- Kaylee said, "let's go see grandma now"
One of our neighbors always has hamburgers and hot dogs, chips and drinks for the trick or treater's. So we took the kids and grabbed a hot dog.
The very first house the girls went to, the guy who answered thought it was older kids and jumped out and scared them. So after that they were a little afraid to knock. It was so funny. Kaylee and Desiree would stand right next to the door and argue who had to knock on the door. I got a few videos I will have to share later.

This was my cub scout partner Maureen Rodabough's house. Her and her family are very very into Halloween. The girls were a little nervous to go up to the house but I promised Maureen I would try it. Kaylee did okay but Desiree wasn't a fan and ended up having bad dreams that night. Poor girl.
After all that Trick or Treatin' we headed to Grandma Scott's house for some snacks and to show off our costumes.
Grandma and Grandpa Scott all dressed up
It was so fun and the kids got tons and tons of candy so they were in Heaven of course.

Fall Fun!

Beej & Chris

I LOVE these pictures! There is nothing like jumping in leaves with young kids. I took some videos but didn't add them here because they take so long to upload. But both Kaylee and Connor would laugh and laugh as I would rake the leaves and spray leaves on top of them. I love small moments like this with my kids.

Oh and these next few pictures are Kaylee's pictures. She has been practicing taking pictures and loves every minute of it. If she had it her way she would take pictures all day long with the camera. And I have to say- for the most part she does a pretty good job.

After jumping in leaves we decided to play hide and seek. ha ha Where could they be?!

Black Island Farms

Beej & Chris

Some of the ladies in my ward/neighborhood invited the kids and I to Black Island Farms for a hayride and to get pumpkins. The kids were free (I love that!) so I just had to pay for myself.
We got to go on a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch to pick out our very own pumpkins

The said to raise your hand when you find the pumpkin you want.
This is Kaylee raising her hand...
and this is Connor....
Yep this boy still sits and lays wherever he wants to even if it is in mud ha ha

Trying to get pictures of the kids is always a challenge,,,,
and this is how it usually ends.

And if taking pictures with two kids is difficult- than you can imagine with a group of kids how challenging it is to get them all to look and smile so this is what we got (it was a great group of kids).

Kaylee riding the tractor...

After we got our pumpkins we went into this big field where there was tons of things for the kids to do and the best part- it was all free!

They had little slides and then this big slide. Kaylee did really good climbing and I had amazing neighbors that were always willing to help her up when she would get stuck everyonce in awhile.

Pure Joy

I decided to stay with Connor instead of going on the train ride and last minute Kaylee got nervous so Rachelle Lloyd jumped right up and sat with Kaylee. Didn't I say I had great neighbors and friends!
While Kaylee and Rachelle went on their ride- Connor chilled in the Corn Box (sandbox with corn kernels instead of sand).

We had fun but stayed longer than we should of. We left first but I have should have left sooner because we ended with both kids crying, Kaylee peeing her pants and then both of them crying the whole way home. Nap time was heavenly when we got home needless to say ;)
