Free Day at the Zoo

Beej & Chris

We had heard it was FREE day at the Zoo and decided to go check it out. Worst. Mistake. Ever! Okay, okay- the kids did enjoy themselves and really liked seeing all the animals, but it was INSANE there. The weather was amazing, so everyone and everyone's friends came. We invited Aunt Angela and she brought a friend to come as well. After leaving to see the monkeys and trying to get out of the room with mass amounts of people, Connor dumped the huge Costco bag of goldfish on the ground. There was no room for people to go around us, so they all waited till I cleaned it up. One lady tried to make a joke, as she was passing the goldfish she pointed and said "Kids, now we are passing the fish. Look at the fish". Ha ha- not. Okay, it is a little funny now. But it wasn't at that moment.

After seeing the elephants we went to a playground. I didn't get any pictures because we lost Connor at this point. There were sooo many kids trying to go down this slide, and Connor was squeezed in the mass of people...and with Angela's help we found him. Camden then ran off, but luckily I saw him run the opposite direction of Angela and found him. At this point I told the kids we could see one more animal and then we were leaving, and Angela and her friend left. Connor and Kaylee sat looking at the sea lions for 20 minutes or so. Ahh, it was so nice and relaxing. Too bad it wasn't like that the whole time lol

Although free Zoo days are nice in regards to my wallet...they are not good for my sanity!

A few days before Uncle Nate went on his mission

Beej & Chris

Shortly before Nate left for his mission he met this cute girl- Natasha. He had to keep up with tradition:
My mom waited for my dad on his mission
Kierston waited for my brother Johnathon on his mission
and BJ waited for me while I was on my mission
Natasha is a really cute girl, and the kids just love her.

Nate is a favorite with all the nieces and nephews, they are all really going to miss him!

The day Nate left for the airport to go to the Mexico MTC, I asked if we could meet them for breakfast close by us before he left. So we met at I HOP. Yummy!

These two are great buds.

Love this little bro'

We can't wait to write you and hear all about your amazing experiences Nate!

Baby Alexa's first birthday and Playing with Baby Light

Beej & Chris

Baby Alexa (Angela's daughter) turned 1. She is seriously one of the cutest "babies" (she is no longer a baby now) I have seen. She is so fun and Kaylee and Connor (especially Connor) LOVE to play with her.
We didn't stay long at Alexa's party because Grandma Tenney was in town and we had made plans to go to dinner with her and JC and Anya that night at Chuck A Rama

JC and Anya's little guy Light was the entertainment for the night. Kaylee and Connor kept sneaking away to go see him. We don't get to see Light very often, but the kids don't skip a beat and act as though they have known each other for years.

Yay for cousin time!

Bowling with Uncle Nate and Fam

Beej & Chris

I was really having a hard time with Nate leaving for his mission and made him schedule a time to spend time with us. We decided to go bowling. He invited Grandma and Grandpa Scott to come with us. We had a great night even if it was a short time. It was fun to spend time with him before he left.

 Uncle Nate beat us all

Kaylee turns 4 (part 3)

Beej & Chris

Mom made the cake but Kaylee helped decorate it

Grandma Scott made the little decorative edge on the skirt with icing.
Getting all ready for the family to come over. We love having family over but weren't originally going to have them over to celebrate Kaylee's birthday. We didn't want her to expect a ton of presents all the time. But we had a few people ask about her birthday and didn't not want to include anyone that wanted to come. So we told family they are welcome to stop by that night for Cake and Ice Cream if they wanted but that they shouldn't bring presents.
We don't get together a ton with family so birthdays are a great excuse to get together. We were really excited to see everyone and spend time with them.

After seeing JQ do this at Amara's last birthday we decided to wrap up a few things from the dollar store and play the game where you roll a dice and when you get doubles you get to start opening the present until another person gets a double. There were some that were wrapped really hard with duct tape so we made the adults play too. The kids didn't have to wear gloves but the adults did.

Everyone got really involved- it was a lot of fun
I forgot to rotate this- but I had to include this. Grandma Scott or as the kids call him 'Pumpkin' is so fun. He really made this game fun for everyone.

Kaylee got a few presents from grandparents as well as the presents from Mom and Dad
Mom and Dad gave her a Leap Pad and she loves it....actually so does Connor...so they have to share a lot ;)

 Aunt Angela
 Uncle Spencer

Happy Happy Birthday Kaylee Bean. We sure love you!!!
