Halloween 2014

Beej & Chris

Getting all ready to go trick or treating!!!

Dad stayed home and passed out candy to the 200 trick or treaters we had come to our house while Mom walked around with the kids.

The kids had a blast knocking on doors and getting candy.

We even saw Kaylee's primary teacher Sister Gridley! Kaylee sure loves her

We couldn't miss out on stopping at their preschool teachers house Mrs. Janet!

We made it around the block just over half way and Kaylee was asking to go home. We finished going around the block and got settled inside and sure enough her fever had come back. Both kids got in their pajamas and watched a Halloween show while the last of the trick or treaters came to our house. They were both exhausted, especially poor sick little Kaylee.

Sick Kaylee

Beej & Chris

We started out the morning with some FUN mail! Grandma Tenney sent the kids Halloween cards with stickers in them. They love getting mail....especially when it involves stickers.
Kaylee then kept acting sleepy and went up to her room and fell asleep (which is really odd for her). After she had slept for awhile, I went in and checked her and found that she had a temperature of 103. Poor thing was so sick. Even with a high fever and her sleeping she would never admit that she wasn't feeling well. She HATES to miss out on anything and will never admit that she is not feeling well because she knows I wouldn't let her play with friends if that were the case.
This was of course the morning that I actually got up and showered and did my hair for the day lol. We had a lot of errands we were going to run since it was Halloween morning, but ended up staying home which was exactly where we needed to be.
Kaylee really didn't feel well, because she stayed in her bed for most of the day. I set her up with a DVD player, some Gatorade and a few snacks. I also gave her a little tambourine that she could jingle if she needed anything since Connor and I were downstairs. She of course thought THAT was the coolest thing and made sure to use it A LOT!
After awhile and her fever broke she decided to venture downstairs. Ashley McGavin was so kind and brought over a pumpkin game for Kaylee and Connor to play since we were stuck inside.

She played for awhile but then cuddled up in a blanket because her fever came back
Connor was such a trooper and played a lot on his own and with mommy, though he was missing his sister a lot.
Halloween night came and we were really hoping her fever would break so she could go trick or treating for a little bit at least. Luckily her fever broke right before we left. It was a Halloween miracle :D

Kaylee's Preschool Halloween Party

Beej & Chris

Kaylee was a ninja turtle for Halloween, but I told her she could choose whatever she wanted to dress up as for her preschool Halloween party. She chose to be a ballerina/princess. She loves to get all dressed up with her hair curled and especially when I put some blush or mascara on her like she did when she was at dance. Needless to say, she had fun getting dressed up.

Kaylee making her silly facial expressions while Mrs. Janet told a story

Kaylee sure loves preschool. She is very confident and sings her little heart out each time we come see her at these little parties. She is always the loudest in her class and knows all the words to each song. It is fun to see her have so much fun and enjoy herself.

Connor's Preschool Halloween Party

Beej & Chris

Shortly after grandparents day, preschool had a Halloween celebration where all the parents could come and see them sing a few songs ( a lot which were song at the grandparents day). All the kids got to dress up in their Halloween costumes. Connor being a ninja turtle of course.

Mrs. Janet told a story about a pumpkin and would say different expressions that the kids would then act out (happy, sad, mad, scared etc..). It was really cute.

We then went around to a few different "stations" with one being a mini golf. Connor of course found the orange golf ball and played that game first!

Connor's preschool Grandparents Day

Beej & Chris

One of our favorite things about Kaylee and Connor's preschool is that they have a grandparents day! Parents can come, but they encourage just the grandparents to be the ones who come. Connor is sure blessed with some amazing grandparents. Papa Bruce, Pumpkin and Grandma Scott all took time away from their days to join in on the fun. Grandma Tenney we knew would have come as well if she could, but since she lives so far away Grandma Scott was so kind to take pictures and videos that we sent for her to enjoy.
Connor sang a lot of the songs

He then took the grandparents around to all the different stations

 Making yummy treats

Kaylee came with me to come pick up Connor. Connor was busy hammering away his golf tees into the big pumpkin

Thanks everyone for supporting our Connor boy

** I forgot to mention. Connor wrote his name for the first time (that I have seen) at grandparents day!
