CHRISTMAS!!!

Beej & Chris

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2011

I really tried this year not to spoil the kids...but it just didn't work. It is way too much fun to buy for Kaylee and Connor. They are both at such fun ages and love everything. I was WAY too excited for them to wake up to see their presents!
Kaylee got her very own computer that when she turns it on, it says, "Hi Kaylee" and everytime she smiles and says "hi" back. She loves her computer! Grandma Tenney did a great job picking it out.
ha ha I just love this picture.

Kaylee got a lot of fun Dr. Seuss books. Daddy was so excited to read them with her that they did just that after all the presents were opened. Kaylee loves books so she was as happy as can be.
The kitchen was from mommy and daddy. I love the fact that it has a little chair that goes with it. SO fun. She makes me pretend cookies and soup all the time.
BJ got a new camera that he can take with him on camp-outs or work trips.
Kaylee got this "pillow pet" from mommy. I was Super excited about the deal we got for this. It was clearanced because one of the antenna tops was broken off. So I just went and bought the same material from Joanns with a coupon I had and fixed it right up. You can't even tell!
Connor got some baby toys and a car that moves when you shake a rattle- SO fun!
He also got this dino bounce toy that I think is by far his favorite right now. Both Kaylee and Connor play it several times a day. He got that from Grandma Tenney!
Santa gave Kaylee a purse next to her stocking. We use it to put some of her toys in it for church and when we go other places so my diaper bag isn't stuffed full with toys. ha ha

Oh and I got spoiled, because I got an I-pod touch!!

We had a great Christmas Season. Kaylee enjoyed playing with her nativity set throughout the month of December and a little after that as well. We actually used it to tell her the story of Christs birth for one of our family home evenings. I loved having a way to remind Kaylee of why we celebrate Christmas all month long!

2011 Christmas Eve

Beej & Chris

Here are a few pictures of our Christmas Eve celebration with Grandma Sherry and Papa Bruce. We went to Red Robin.
I got some nice bath things so I could pamper myself. Whenever I am stressed or just need a break, I love a good bath.

Kaylee got her very own camera which she loves

Connor got an airplane/rattle toy that he is just starting to enjoy. This boy loves anything that rattles or makes noise.
BJ got spoiled and got a Milsap Jazz jersey from his brother JC. We had a $15-20 budget, but I knew BJ would love this- so I contributed to the fund a little. BJ would never buy this for himself or let me buy it for him. So this was a win win ;)

Christmas Fun

Beej & Chris

I know it seems silly, but to me it's just not Christmas time unless we make treats and deliver treats to the neighbors. We had so much going on, BJ though I was crazy for doing this especially because I didn't end up delivering all of them until Christmas Eve. But I LOVED it! Kaylee helped me take some and I finished them up. The plates were small and I definitely didn't get them to all the people I wanted to, but I loved seeing the peoples faces when I dropped them off as we both wished each other a Merry Christmas. Love this time of year!

Connor relaxin'
Kaylee is struggling with sharing as most kids this age do, so we decided to let her pick out a few toys for her friends (Brinlee, Desiree, Eric, and Gavin). She was so cute and helped me wrap them and deliver them. She chose puppets for her friends, and specifically chose which puppet went to who. We didn't get her one so I was worried she would get upset. But that was the point, not for her to be upset- but to give her friends something and not get anything in return.

The first friend she took her gift to was Gavin. She did pretty good, but as we were leaving she went to get his puppet to take with her. Once I told her it was staying here she just left it and came. She was saying "Gavin, Gavin Gavin" all day long after that.
Kaylee with Desiree

Kaylee has some pretty amazing friends! It is so fun to see her interact with them. She LOVES all of them and talks about them all- it is so cute!

Life

Beej & Chris

I am sitting here on the couch trying to decide what to do with my time. Kaylee is upstairs trying to open the door saying "mommy....mommy" and now knocking on the wall. It is 1:30pm and definitely past her nap time. Connor is asleep on our bed but has been for the last hour 1/2 or so, so I know as soon as I close my eyes to take a nap he will start crying. I have homework I need to do but don't have the desire or energy or time to do it all and I don't want to get started and then have Connor wake up because it will be hard to come back to my train of thought again tonight-which will be the next time I will be able to work on it again.
Life is just crazy.
I am very grateful that I got into the online RN-BSN program and truly do think it is the right thing for me to be doing right now, but that doesn't mean it is going to be easy or fun all the time. I guess I just have to keep reminding my self that because I am already second guessing it. The online blackboard system Weber has is lame and overwhelming. But I am sure as time comes I will get the hang of it. The only time I really have to study is at night so the past two night I have been up till around midnight and then just as I fall asleep Connor wakes up to eat. Needless to say I am EXHAUSTED already. Not to mention when the kids go to bed is usually when BJ and I get time to talk and spend time together. Instead it is him watching sports while I work on homework. Blah
I am also feeling overwhelmed with everything else I have and want to do (blog, clean the house, fulfill my calling in church, read my scriptures, go to the temple, make dinner for my family and even things as simple as getting my hair done for the day). What I am trying to do is this:

*Wake up with Connor and while he is playing read my scriptures (I made a rule that I can't get on Facebook unless I have already read my scriptures- I know how lame is that, that I actually have to do that).
* Play with the kids and try not to get on the computer much during the day
* Go to the gym a few times a week in the morning between 8-11 so Connor will sleep and Kaylee wont be starving while they hang out in the play area there.
* Work on Cub Scouts on Tuesdays and Sundays
* I am just deciding this now- but clean the house Saturday morning with just straightening up and sweeping on and off throughout the weekday so the house doesn't look horrible.
* Really make an effort to have a date night with BJ on Friday night. Even if it is watching a movie at home when the kids are in bed.

Now that leaves me still with working on the blog, going to the temple, finding time to get my hair done (I know it doesn't sound like something that should be hard. But imagine Connor in the other room crying because his sister is teasing him or because he is lonely because Kaylee is in the bathroom with me pulling the toilet paper off the roll and flushing the toilet over and over again saying "Mommy...mommy....mommy." while reaching up to be like me and straighten her hair or put hairspray on her hair. She still doesn't understand how hot my straightener is no matter how much I tell her. I know she will learn when she touches it but I don't want her to learn that way. ").

** So I just found this post. This must have been one of those "hard mommy days". Two kids is definitely a challenge. But I have to say- it is also a huge blessing! These past few weeks the kids have been amazing. I have said on many occasions "We have the cutest kids! We are so blessed!" Motherhood definitely has its ups and downs. But the ups definitely make up for the downs!

Kaylee

Beej & Chris

I started this post awhile ago, and figured I would just post it...

Cute things:
She says mommy all the time
Here are some other phrases or cute words she says.....
"look at this!"
"I do it" or "All self"
When she hears Connor cry she says "Connor! Hurry Hurry"
"Where yar you?"
"foootball"
"I sorry mommy"
"Thanks mommy"
"I love you too!"
"I toot"
"Mommy do it"
"Toss it way high!"
"I miss you"
"I find it!"
"wedgie" (ha ha ha she wears underwear now and since she puts it on it usually ends up backwards or inside out- so she gets wedgies quite often.)
"Close your eyes"
"I eat"
"Chockee milk"
"All do it!"
"Help mommy"

blah things:
takes away anything Connor has...
Photo shoot of Connor
(poor guy doesn't know whats coming)
Kaylee- "I fix it"

Here she comes.....
Kaylee- "let me fix that a little bit better Connor"
Connor "Ahhhh"
