Nice Sunday Stroll

Beej & Chris

In preparation for BJ's campout with the scouts- we decided to take a small walk/hike one Sunday afternoon. Kaylee was so tired that I wouldn't have be surprised if we had walked longer that she would have fallen asleep on daddy's back.
Connor just relaxed in the stroller- chillin' with mom while daddy and Kaylee hiked farther up the trail. The knee braces help my knees so much- but hiking long distances is still pretty difficult.

Ok so I realized I hadn't taken very many pictures- so these were the last minute attempt to capturing the moment. After the hike we drove around a little bit looking at different houses just for fun :)

Connor is 10 months old

Beej & Chris

Connor is so much fun to have in our family. He is learning to say "all done" and "milk" in sign language. He loves to play with the lego's, cars, be tickled, read books, and anything with Kaylee. The other day Kaylee and Connor were in the bath together and as soon as we took Kaylee out- Connor started crying and wanted out. Kaylee is the same way. When she wakes up from her nap and Connor is still asleep- she says, "Where's Connor" "I want Connor right now" or "I miss him". I love how close they are. Kaylee still steals toys from him or "trades" him toys when I am watching lol so hopefully as he gets older- their relationship will stay as close. ;)

This is from Connor's 9 month Wellness check.
Here are his stats:
Ht: 28.8 inches.............................75%
Wt: 20 lbs 5 ounces......................50%
Head: 18.8 inches.........................95%

They also found that he had an ear infection. The pediatrician said as she does every appointment "He has such a beautiful perfectly round head" I am very grateful he doesn't have any problems with his head but I just think it is funny that she always makes a point to say that.
Connor is always smiling and has so much personality. He started cruising at 9 months and at 10 months was walking. He still only has the two teeth on the bottom but seems to be teething for awhile- so I am assume more will pop up here soon. He will wave every once in awhile but lately the cutest thing he has been doing is "tickling" he squeezes his hands and starts walking towards you when you say "tickle mommy or tickle Kaylee"...it is beyond cute! If I get a video of it I will post it.

Connor's loves to play with the plugs and stick things in them- so he has obtained the nickname "little munchkin".

We sure LOVE our little munchkin'!!

Reckseick Fun

Beej & Chris

The beautiful Reckseick girls (Millie & Emily) came to stay for a few nights while their parents went on a cruise! Amy reckseick is my aunt on my mom's side. She is only a few years older than me so her two youngest are similar in age to Kaylee and Connor- so it was a lot of fun to have them here. In fact Kaylee was in heaven. She followed Emily everywhere she went, and did everything Emily did- and Emily was soo good about it.

I let them go outside and play for a bit (while I watched through the window of course)

When I went to check on them this is what I found.....
Kaylee was still mastering potty training. lol As soon as she needed to go she would pull her pants down and start going to the bathroom- but usually as soon as her pants were down she would pee on the ground or on the carpet or on the floor. ;) Kaylee is still so young so getting to the potty can be a bit tricky sometimes.
 Connor and Millie
 Emily and Kaylee
Connor and Millie had such a fun time playing together. It was so fun to watch them play

I got on Pinterest and found this neat idea to help entertain the kids while we listened to Conference. I went and bought a few treats and toys from the dollar store and then printed pictures of all of the Apostles and Prophet Monson.

I LOVE love LOVE this picture
When either the Prophet or one of the Apostles came on- the girls would go to the pictures I had layed out and then match it to the speaker...then they would take that picture and match it with the prize that had the same picture.

The kids would then either play with their toy or eat their treat while we listened to that speaker talk. It actually worked our pretty good and afterwards Kaylee loved to match the pictures of the Apostles with the Ensign. Definitely going to do this next year!
