Setting up the Bunk Beds

Beej & Chris

Daddy and Connor setting up the Bunk Beds!
Kaylee showing me her beautiful ring that she got in her dress ups from Christmas...
 and being silly!
Testing out the new beds! Great job daddy!

We set up Connor's bed just for fun. I am in no rush to put him in a big bed.

He wanted to lay down on the bed so we let him...and that lasted maybe 20 minutes before he was crying and begging for his crib. So we quickly put him back in his crib and put the kids down for the night.
Kaylee was excited but concerned about her old bed and asked if she could sleep back in there. But after she slept in the bigger bed that night and realized how much more room she had- she changed her mind and loves her new bed. I love it too- so I can lay down next to her to read her books.

The kids wanted to get on top for a long time and we let them while we were in there but it will be awhile before that top bunk gets used. Honestly we only set up the whole thing and left Kaylee's old bed because we have no room to store it. So for now- it is crowded in there and ready for the many more kids we are planning to have ;)
 Awe Connor and his "puppy"
GAH we sure love these kids!!

Christmas Day

Beej & Chris

The above pictures are all of the toys the kids got from the Tenney Christmas Eve Family dinner, so adding that on top of what they got for Christmas Day- you can imagine how spoiled these kids got!
 Christmas day 2012
looks like Santa enjoyed his cookies :)

When the kids woke up, they were all smiles ready to go downstairs to see what Santa brought. When they got downstairs and both saw all the presents- they both ran and each opened a present (surprisingly they each got their own present). After that daddy told them to go pick a spot to sit down and that he would hand them each a present. I was impressed how well Connor did with that since he is so young.

The kids all opened their Santa gifts and some of their gifts from mom and dad and then we called Grandma Tenney via skype and she watched the kids open her presents and we got to watch Grandma open her presents from us. 96

Connor's big present from Santa was this ELMO rock doll that he LOVES
Kaylee's big present from Santa was this Belle doll..which she likes but not as much as I thought she would
Daddy got some razors and a two burner stove for camping
Both Connor and Kaylee got a lot of movies and a lot a lot of books!

Kaylee was super excited for the movie BRAVE
Kaylee could have opened presents all day long.....
And Connor could have eaten candy from his stocking all day long ha ha
Papa Bruce and Grandma Sherry got the kids bunk beds and bedding to go with them!

Kaylee got a fun zoo animal people set from Grandma Tenney, dress ups from mom and dad, clothes, and an E reader book (which was by far her favorite item!) OH and the book "the Monster at the End of the Book"
Connor got a fun fun car set from Grandma Tenney, a dog that barks and walks (that makes him laugh everytime), clothes, and some Mikey books (which he LOVES..these kids and their books. They love love reading books).

Mommy got a candle warmer and money to buy clothes

Mom and Dad also treated themselves to a new vacuum
The big mess that drove daddy crazy ha ha
Connor got a dog from mommy and daddy and another one from Grandma Sherry and Papa Bruce. The dog they gave him he loved to push and hear it make music and run around the kitchen floor. It was so funny because he kept trying to sit on his dog. This kid LOVES dogs and loved getting them for Christmas.

After clean up and having the kids each pick a few favorite toys to bring- we headed to Papa Bruce and Grandma Sherrie's where they added to the gifts the kids got with dry erasable crayons and some clothes!
Papa Bruce down on the floor with the kids
Uncle Spencer's present was an old computer that he had to put together. They boys had fun with this project. This was the "puzzle" for the day.
Kaylee of course wanted to help out
Connor was exhausted from such a busy morning and almost fell asleep on Papa Bruce

NEXT, we went to "Pumpkin" and Grandma Scott's house where we exchanged family gifts. Each of the kids spent $1 on each other and the adults had to MAKE the gifts to their name with the money limit of like $5 I think. I made a memory book for Johnathon on all the memories I have of us as kids and as we grew up along with pictures, my mom printed a sheet on things she loves about me and put it into a frame type thing that I can sit on a table, BJ made a nativity set out of wood with his dad (and they had so much fun doing it), and BJ got Jazz pajamas from Nate (no they were not made..but they were free I believe).

Aunt Angela made snow hats for everyone! Including kids. Everyone loved them and she did a great job! My sister is living in Wyoming these days and really struggling with money so I was impressed with her idea and efforts. She is due with her third child in March I believe....

NEXT we drove up to Idaho to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Scott!!

Playing with all of the fun toys after Christmas! We had a fun day with family and a great Christmas. Christmas is always so much more fun with kids!
