ZOO trip with the Laytons

Beej & Chris

Our great friends the Laytons (Challae, Brinlee and Everett) invited us to go to the zoo with them and boy did we have fun!
Kaylee came up to the gorilla and laughed and said "Look at his boobies!"

We loved looking at the Gorilla- especially when he picked his nose and ate it. The kids sure got a kick out of that. lol
Traditional monkey measuring pose
We went to the bird show and had a good time. Connor wasn't loving having to sit and I had to walk out with him a few times, but Kaylee was pretty entertained.

Watching the Otters. They were training them for a little bit as they fed them. It was cool to see all of their tricks.

Love these two!

We also got to see them feed the elephants and see their cool tricks as well. It was a HOT HOT HOT day- but we had so much fun! Thanks Layton's for inviting us!

Uncle Nate's High School Graduation

Beej & Chris

Uncle Nate graduated high school this year and with honors. We are so proud of him and all of his accomplishments. Uncle Nate is definitely the favorite uncle with all of the kids. He will tease and tease the kids- but they LOVE him so much. He will definitely be missed when he leaves on his mission.
Kaylee put a candy lei that we made over his shoulder and then gave him a kiss on the cheek.
We didn't get any pictures of just Nate and BJ so we grabbed a few when we dropped him off at his house. These two are such great friends. I love it.

Daddy's 28th Birthday Celebration

Beej & Chris

BJ was on a work retreat the week of his birthday and got home the evening of his birthday- so we had a pizza casserole and yummy Reesess/Oreo pie ready for him when he got home. Yummm!
Homemade wrapping paper

BJ has an Amazon wish list that has a list of things he has found online that he would like to have. We chose one of those items (a cargo carrier for on top of our car).

Look at that mini BJ (with hair )

Kaylee's First Dance Recital

Beej & Chris

After a little bit of convincing we got daddy on our team and signed Kaylee up for her first dance class! We have a few neighbors and friends that have gone to the Dance Factory and have all loved it so we thought we would give it a try.
Kaylee has LOVED it! Here is some pictures of her recital. The first few pictures is of her practice a few days before the recital. Grandma Scott couldn't come to her recital so she came to her rehearsal- and of course Kaylee loved that she came to watch her dance.

At the end of the recital they had everyone come out for a final bow. Kaylee kept going around trying to hug and kiss her friends- it was so funny.
ahhh how cute are these girls

Papa Bruce and Grandma Sherry
I love how Kaylee always tilts her head when we ask her to smile for a picture.

Connor was pretty tired by the end of the recital- but did awesome during the show.
We promised Kaylee we would go get her an ice cream cone after. During the practice on stage an hour before the show started- Kaylee told her dance teacher that she was going to get ice cream and yelled it out really loud showing how excited she was. It was hilarious.
Look at those tired eyes.

SOOO Proud of my sweet Kaylee. She remembered the dance and did all the moves right along with her teacher. She got nervous at first but I went into the dressing room and talked to her for a bit and she got her nerves together and did an amazing job. So fun!
