4th of July

Beej & Chris

Grandma Tenney was in town for the 4th of July so we spent all day celebrating, starting with a breakfast in Kaysville. They made Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes for the kids.
Uncle Nate joined us and we were so excited to have him

They had big blow up slides and mazes for the kids that were FREE to play in. We played for a bit before sitting down for the parade.

Uncle Nate and I went after I got off work the night before to set up our chairs and blankets. Apparently they could set up the night before that- so there wasn't much left when we got there. But we laughed and laughed about the silliest things that night. Nate is hilarious and such a great brother.

It was HOT HOT HOT. We went to the Kaysville parade for the first time so we could try out the water parade.

ha ha so this is horrible. But this huge muscly body builder brought and was sitting on this chair. Nate and I couldn't stop laughing, because whenever he sat down it looked like he was going to fall right in through the chair. I was kind and didn't take a picture of the man- but I did get one of the chair.

The parade was super duper long, but since the whole reason we went to that parade was for the water part....I convinced Grandma Tenney and BJ to stay for the water parade.

It was C.R.A.Z.Y!!! They had huge trucks spilling out water all over the place. They stopped it midway because someone got hurt. Apparently someone gets hurt almost every year.

Kaylee was so brave and would stand right by the truck where they would DUMP water on top of her.
Connor was contend with sitting in the gutter filled with water ha ha

After a nap we headed to JC and Anya's for a BBQ.

After the BBQ and playing at the park nearby. We headed to Layton for the fireworks

We sat by Aunt Kierston, Uncle Johnathon and their kids, Uncle Nate, and surprise...Grandma Scott and 'Pumpkin' came too. They were in Idaho but decided to head home and got there just in time.

The fireworks were amazing. Both kids stayed up for them and did great. They were both exhausted by the end and of course crashed almost the moment we got in the car. But it was a great day.
