This year for Thanksgiving we got to see a lot of family! We started out with going to Idaho the day before Thanksgiving to see Great Grandma and Grandpa Scott and help them out with getting ready. It is always so fun to see them. 

Thanksgiving morning daddy got to go play football with our neighbors while the kids and I worked on our fruit Turkey's. I made a large one to take to Papa Bruce and Grandma Sherry's and Kaylee and Connor made their own to take to Grandma Parker's.

On our way to BJ's parents house we stopped at the church where Grandma Parker was having her Thanksgiving since we haven't been to that Thanksgiving dinner for a long time. Each year we trade off with Idaho and BJ's parents- so this year we thought we would stop in and say 'hi' at least.

We then made it to BJ's parents house.

Grandma Sherry set up a little kids table with their own colored plates, silverware and cups. Connor of course was in heaven with all of his being orange. We were sad that JQ's kids weren't there this year and sure missed them, but are excited to see them for Christmas.

Uncle Spencer is a pretty cool dude, the kids sure love being with him.

After a yummy dinner, the kids went downstairs to watch 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' (the old version) which they loved and have talked about for weeks afterwards, while the older kids stayed upstairs to play games.

This year for the month of November we took time each morning to think about the many things we are 'Thankful' for. The kids loved coming up with something new and hanging their leaves on the wall. We definitely plan to do this again next year.

Dad had the kids each trace their hands and write out a few things they were thankful for one night for FHE. We then each took turns acting out one of the things we had on our list. It was pretty funny and such a great idea by dad!

Kaylee is sure loving preschool these days. She has really worked hard at her Upstart online preschool program each day as well, which has helped a lot with her reading. She is constantly finding words and sounding them out. Whenever BJ and I spell out words to each other she tries to sound out the word we were trying to disguise from her, making us a lot more careful. The little "smartie pants".

For Thanksgiving the kids sang a few songs and then invited us all to enjoy in their feast. Each child brought a finger food to share.

The kids went into their room to play and came out dressed up in dresses....including Connor.

I told Kaylee I couldn't reach my toes and asked her if she would paint them for me. Connor and Kaylee excitedly said yes!

They worked hard at cleaning off the old nail polish....though I think it was more work than I think they realized lol

Connor then went to work at painting Kaylee's toes for her. What a good brother!

Celebrating Thanksgiving with a preschool Thanksgiving FEAST! 

Connor and his class sang a few songs for all the parents.

They then played a game where they put different foods in the correct food category. It was funny because Connor kept helping everyone else out and when it was his turn he needed a little help himself :)

Mrs. Janet then played a game where they had to close their eyes and guess what item she took away. She kept telling Connor to close his eyes, but he doesn't know how to close them without his hands. He finally put his hands up on his eyes

As you can tell, he took this game very seriously.

We then enjoyed a yummy feast. Connor's favorite were the little smokies that Mrs. Janet brought. Connor brought fruit leather.
