Right around 4 months old we gave Ashlynn rice cereal for the first time. She was waking up several times a night so we thought we should give the rice a try. Here are the pictures of her trying it for the first time.

She didn't love it just like her brother and sister when they were this age. But it was good way to teach her how to eat from a spoon.

Each time we fed Ashlynn or gave her a new baby food to try, the kids thought it was the coolest thing.

We invited Light to join us which he loved.

Grandma Tenney was also visiting since it was around Light's birthday, so she cheered the kids on.

Connor was sure proud of his medal too!

The kids love seeing all the dressed up characters like Smokey.

I love that the kids can get a free helmet by being one of the first 300 to get there.

With their new helmets, the kids went through a bike safety course.

Will Scott invited Kaylee and Connor to his Rock Climbing birthday party

The kids had a blast! They STILL talk about it months after the fact. 

There was a little kid area where the kids could climb on their own, and then there were big climbing walls that they had to have help with.

They had a party host who told them all the rules, helped them climb the big walls, and also played a game with them in the kid area. They would hide a coin on one of the walls that you could only find if you climbed the wall. It got all the kids involved.

Connor was so brave and jumped right up to climb the wall without any fear. Once he got to the top he got a little nervous because he didn't know how to come down. He then decided to play in the kid area for awhile before going back at the wall.

Kaylee also had a great time. Her favorite part was jumping down.

The kids took a break for some pizza and a drink.

Ashlynn wanted to try as well ;)

At the end of the party Connor got his nerves up to go again. He then had his mind SET on the big wall. Everytime I told him it probably wasn't a good idea and to try an easier wall- he insisted he could do it. He waited and waited for his turn. The little boy ahead of him stayed on the wall for a looong time. Connor patiently waited. The lady who was helping the boy helped him down and told Connor and the other boy who had waited just as long that the time designated for the party was over. Connor was so sad. The other boy started crying (they had waited for at least 20 minutes for a turn). The lady felt bad and let him have a turn. Connor then went over to Mike Scott who let him have a turn on a "big" wall. He only did it for a few minutes before he was done, but he was so proud of himself for waiting and going up there. 

Both kids were exhausted but wanted to climb all day.

Connor insisted on taking the cake with him and fell asleep eating it. :D

Then came the adventure of taking up three sleeping kids up to our apartment on the third floor. Most of the time BJ carries Kaylee and Connor and I push Ashlynn and help carry things up. It is always quite the sight. But we are so grateful for a place to live until our house is done being built.
