Fun with Dad/Valentines Day/Connor's first hair cut

Beej & Chris

One of the kids favorite things that daddy does is when he sings "Kaylee and Connor going around the front room, the front room, the front room" and the kids run around in circles laughing.

Daddy is a very patient man and let's the kids help him as he cooks sometimes. Here is documentation of one of those times ;)

I think this is when they made banana bread but am not for sure.

 Valentines day!
The kids got Princess and the Frog and Peter Pan

 Checking out the goodies...

Mom made heart shaped waffles for the kids

And since daddy was rushing off to work, I made him a egg/waffle sandwich.

I bought the kids two poster boards to paint and color on. They each got a card from Grandma Tenney with stickers on it that they used on their poster board as well. They LOVE getting mail from Grandma and getting stickers was even better.

I bought a Wii game from my dad (he got a ton of stuff from a storage unit). Kaylee loves to do the "punching game". She sticks her bum out in the air and punches her little heart out and crazy enough she wins almost every time!

Connor's hair was getting to be a little too long. I didn't do any professional job by any means. Just a little trim with scissors in a few places.

Don't mind naked Kaylee right there (good thing this blog is private huh)

 Here is the end result

Life

Beej & Chris

Okay, so I have been struggling emotionally and holding back just doesn't seem to be helping. So writing it down hopefully will help. It could be my thyroid or something is out of wack which is why I am going to see a doctor Monday. I kept putting it off because I don't want medication to fix my emotional problem and I don't think I am depressed because I still want to be with people in fact that is one of my struggles, but anyway the doctors appointment is to just check levels to make sure I am not anemic or having thyroid problems. I have had a lot of dizzy spells which is the explanation for checking the iron.

So first off. Today is the celebration of my Grandpa Parker's life since he passed away and today is his birthday. This is a big struggle for me because I feel a lot of guilt when it comes to my grandpa. First of all my Grandpa and Grandma have a lot of kids in the family so the relationship with my grandparents wasn't ever the strongest. And then to add on the negative things I heard from family members about my grandpa and some of the choices he made I just never really took the time to get to know him. He would always call my name to come over and talk to him but I never knew what to talk to him about. I wasn't interested in genealogy which is what he was amazing at and I didn't see him very often so I just didn't know what to talk to him about. So pretty much I was a horrible granddaughter and didn't really know my grandpa. And now as everyone celebrates his life I feel like the worst person because I was horrible and missed out on all of these wonderful things everyone talks about when they talk about him. :(

Next, I am constantly worried about what other people think of my thoughts, how I raise my kids, the way I said something and if it was offensive or not. Stupid things! And I know it is stupid but I literally can not NOT worry about it. One of the biggest things with this is when I have the feeling like I am a hindrance to someone. I hate feeling like that, but I also know how it feels to help someone so I try to allow people to help, but the moment someone even shows that they are put out or I think they feel put out I will quickly pull out and do it myself. This happens a lot with my kids. If we are somewhere and someone comments on how my kids are getting into something, or look at me when my child is screaming I just assume they think I am the worst parent and that my kids are annoying to them. It is so stupid.

So there's that and then comes the lamest one of all. I just want to feel so close to someone (besides my husband- he gets picked on a lot from me) that when they actually ask me how I am doing that I will really tell them. I mean people ask but for the most part it is just what people say so I don't usually tell them or if I do then the moment it seems as though my story is boring them I stop talking. Or even more than that- I feel like I have life so good so why should I complain about anything?! See, I am constantly worried about causing problems with people or being annoying etc. etc. etc..

Okay so I am actually feeling better now that I have written this down. But I am sure the moment I post this I will feel guilty and worried that someone reads this and assumes they did something wrong or that I was talking about them. Sigh- I just need to get pregnant again cause for some weird reason I am so chill when I am. See, my hormones are messed up! Too bad my endometriosis is messing up my body and that process. Okay deep breath. Life will all be better in the morning with a good nights rest and with BJ back from camping. Now to finish my schoolwork that is due tonight.

Birthday Fun- Mom turns 27!

Beej & Chris

BJ surprised me and took the day off of work on my birthday. He contacted my aunt Amy and worked out babysitting for the kids while he took me to Soldier Hallow to go sledding. I had asked him to plan something fun, and it was exactly that. He got a groupon that gave him a 50% discount on the sledding. Soldier Hallow is awesome because you don't ever have to walk up the hill. You just sit on your tube and let them pull you up the hill. It was our first time going but I think we both agree- it is not the last.
Before we headed to the hill. We stopped at park city to look for a coat and ended up getting this nice coat that we both thought would last a lot longer than my last one and worth the investment. I love it!
We didn't get very many pictures of us sledding because the battery was almost dead. But here are a few.
At the beginning I was nervous and would only go down on my bottom. But by the end I was riding on my belly and catching air as we went off the hills. It was soo fun! We wanna bring the kids next time. They have a little kid hill where their are chairs for the parents to sit at and watch the kids go down them, and if you wanted to bring the kids down the big hill- they had mini tubes just their size.
It ended up being the best day to go too. We went during the day since BJ had it off work- so nobody was there. We stayed for 2 hours and went down several times. It was so warm that we ended up taking our coats off and put sunscreen on. So Fun!

After sledding we went and picked up the kids and headed to dinner at Texas Roadhouse.
It was so yummy, we had a great waitress, and the price was really good! We will definitely be going there again with our kids.

Bj also spoiled me and got new sheets (really nice ones) for our bed and a new big fluffy pillow

He started out the morning with breakfast in bed and then allowed me to do whatever I wanted the rest of the day. He took charge of everything! It was such a fun birthday. THANK YOU BJ!

Fun in the Snow

Beej & Chris

We have had SO much snow this year. So we finally braved it and took the kids out to play in it.
Daddy shoveled a walk way for the kids to walk through. They thought that pretty cool.

See, I told ya we got a lot of snow!

Oh- aren't these kids cute in all their snow gear. :)

Mom then decided it would be fun to try to create a mini slide for the kids to play with. Well...it didn't work out to well. But we had fun trying anyhow.
Fun Day!

Projects and Fun at home

Beej & Chris

So...I showed BJ a few recipes and ideas on pinterest and before I knew it he had created his own board where he started "pinning" different ideas he was interested in. Yes..my husband freakin rocks! Well, one of the projects he found was a bench made out of an old crib. Here is the beginning of his project. I will post the results later.

He borrowed a sander from our neighbor...looking good so far.
Sunday afternoons involve a lot of wresting around with daddy. Here is one of those occasions...

It's no wonder why they both love their daddy so much!

On a separate occasion when it was just the kids and mom. Connor showed his love of shoes. He kept putting Kaylee's boots on and started marching around the floor.
So Kaylee put on her princess shoes and followed him around laughing along the way.

So of course Connor had to try them on too. he he

Shhhh Don't tell daddy ;)
