Grandma Scott's Birthday Pedicure

Beej & Chris

For my mom's birthday I took her to get a pedicure and to dinner
We ate at Robintinoes. BJ had to head off to scouts that night and dropped off the kids just as we were finishing dinner at the restaurant.

These kids sure love their Grandma Scott
Cute toes
Hope you had a happy birthday mom!

Cub Scout Calling

Beej & Chris

I keep moving in the Cub Scout calling. I started in Wolves, went to primary, came back to Webelos, and now they have moved me over to Bears. There are times I am worn out of scouts, but for the most part it hasn't been a bad calling. Here are some pictures of our last Blue and Gold Banquet.
We had a 'Camping theme'

We didn't have a ton of boys and their parents come, but it was a pretty good turnout overall.

Mother's Day

Beej & Chris

BJ and the kids sure made this Mother's day extra special. I got beautiful roses and breakfast in bed.
The kids each filled out "All about Mom" (which was cute and funny). They also gave me a gift card to Cafe Zuppas and a new blow dryer (I have had mine since right after high school and it keeps overheating and smoking lol ).
Connor then cuddled right up next to me after church and fell asleep

After nap time we went to see Grandma Scott and Skype with Uncle Nate

It was a GREAT day! I am so blessed to be a mom to two wonderful kids.

Sleepy Kids

Beej & Chris

On those hard days.....seeing your kids sleep so peacefully is the best part of the day ;)
Kaylee has been going through this anxious stage lately. She had been having bad dreams about spiders, lady bugs etc.. She was also really fearful that we are going to leave her. Anytime she was upstairs and I walked downstairs- she screamed "MOM- where are you!?" It was really getting difficult to have patience with it all. She has since gotten a lot better. We just kept reassuring her over and over and eventually she stopped worrying as much....thank goodness

Free Kid's Fair

Beej & Chris

Our neighbor Michelle Jamison was in charge of planning a kids fair. We decided to go check it out. The fair was free and provided a lot of fun and entertainment for the kids.

Each of the kids got their own bear which they took through the 'Bear check up'.
The "nurses" would ask what is wrong with the bear and make all the owies go away.

They even got their own shots

This was probably one of my favorite things at the kids fair

They had multiple vendors set up where they were teaching kids the importance of brushing teeth, poison control etc.. At each vendor the kids got something free (coloring book, candy, pencil etc.)
The kids each met Smokey the Bear
Sparky the Dog...and a few others

They also had free face painting

Kaylee and Connor each went through the obstacle course

and received their very own medal

Kaylee got a picture with all the Jazz dancers

It was a fun day! Grandma Tenney was there with us, but I apparently only took pictures of the kids. We all had a great time.

Women's Conference 2014

Beej & Chris

This year at Women's Conference was just as amazing if not better than the previous years. Here is the group that could come this year:
From L-R (Jodee, Amy, me, Jamie, my mom, Traci (Jamie's friend), and Jaqueline (Jodee's friend).

This is the first night.....You are obviously a 'LOSER' if you are the first one to fall asleep on a girls trip lol. We were just kidding Jaqueline.
The first day everyone chose their own classes and went to the ones they felt like they should. I think we all got answers to questions or felt inspired at least once on the trip. That night we all went to Olive Garden for dinner, then Jodee, Amy, Jaqueline, and I went to a movie. I haven't laughed that much and that hard for a long time. Can't wait for next year!
