Lagoon

Beej & Chris

For my Lagoon work party Grandma Tenney was able to come. It worked out really well, since I couldn't ride all the rides...not to mention the kids just love spending time with their grandma.

This ride was Kaylee's favorite. She would control and make sure whoever she was riding with would get soaking wet ha ha
The physical therapist's at work were telling me how they saw me riding it with Kaylee and were laughing with how soaked I was getting
Connor and Kaylee both really liked this dragon ride. I was so impressed that Connor didn't get scared at all.

While Kaylee, Grandma and BJ were riding one of the roller coasters, Connor got to ride in his own jeep.

Connor was BARELY tall enough to ride in the car all by himself.

A super mini version of the 'Rocket'

This is me wiping off my tears from laughing so hard at Connor during the ride. He would let out this cute scream when we would drop and then giggle so loud. It was the cutest thing...and hilarious!

When BJ got back from riding the roller coaster they realized that Connor was probably BARELY tall enough to ride on it. They thought they would give it a try, and took him to the line. They had him stand by and get measured....just like his daddy he got on his tippy toes all excited to be tall enough. They let him in, and then he got re-measured right before getting on the ride...and luckily passed that one too. He was so excited that he was big enough! Connor did so good on the ride. BJ is so very excited that the kids like roller coasters- he can't wait till they are older so he can take them to six flags.

and right after the big roller coaster, they rode this baby ride. Kaylee looked so bored. I love the fact that they do both rides. It sure opens up the amount of rides they can/want to ride.

The kid swings

Bumper cars! So fun to watch these kids figure out the cars. Connor went in circles for a big part of the ride.

Kaylee knew just what she was doing. She would bump right into other people with this huge grin on her face.

Riding on the carousel

We then went on Rattle Snack rapids, and while I was changing out of my swim suit..the kids went and rode a car around the track.

Kaylee and Connor (you can't see him because he is so short) enjoying the spin rides with their daddy
They were wearing out here by the end....total exhaustion

ahhh, the do love each other :)

One last spin ride before heading home. We made it all the way until around 8:30pm. I was beyond exhausted by the end. We did spend a little time at Lagoon-A-Beach which was fun...the water was cold as always- but it was a hot day so it was nice to cool down for a bit. Can't wait till next year!

Staining the Deck

Beej & Chris

Christie has been saying for a while that we need to stain our deck.  I (BJ) finally decided to get around to it.  Christie was super helpful the first night by taking the kids over to my sister's house and her parents so I could get most of the sanding done.  When they got home, Kaylee and Connor came out to give me a hand.  Kaylee was pretty good at it, but Connor would hold it for a minute and then let the sander go.

The next night we stained the deck.  The kids were super excited to give a hand and Mom even joined the fun.

Dad spent the beginning part supervising... Mom did quite a bit of the work for a while, then she took over supervising and Dad finished the job.

It was a lot of work, but we're really happy with how it turned out!

Papa Bruce's Work Party

Beej & Chris

Papa Bruce invited us to go to his work's summer party up near East Canyon.  Christie had to work, but I (BJ) took the kids and headed up.

They had face painting

And balloon animals.  Kaylee got a tiger

Connor got a unicorn

I even got my face painted.  Not sure what it is, but the lady did an awesome job.  I was super impressed!

They had a huge blow up obstacle course, a ton of food and tons of other games.  Kaylee was really good at staying inside of the round ones that looked like tires (Connor tried to be as good as his sister, but she was really pro!)

Jacquie and her kids were there as were Spencer and Elisa.  It was a super fun party and we hope we can go again next year - don't quit your job dad!

I got a little carried away taking selfies, but I never get my face painted - plus since Christie was at work I had to make sure she saw what it looked like before I washed it off.
