First Snow Fall

Since last year we didn't get a chance to play in the snow much since we didn't really get much snow- we decided to jump on the opportunity this year as soon as we had the chance.

Connor was so tired and after we got him all dressed up and ready to go out and he had a meltdown we decided to put him down for a nap in hopes we could take him out another time soon.

While Connor was asleep I took Kaylee out to play and just kept coming in to check on him.

Kaylee was obsessed with eating the snow and still to this day will eat whatever snow she finds.

Due to the big snowfall our big tree in the front cracked and made quite the mess

I called BJ and let him know and he organized a group of men to come help get it cleaned up before we got even more snow that night. BUT while we were waiting and Connor was asleep- Kaylee and I went sledding at the park across the street.

So that night the boys came over and helped trim the tree down and luckily were able to save the tree. I was overwhelmed by all the help we got from family and friends at such a short notice.

The next day we got even more snow so I was so grateful we got the tree taken care of early so we didn't have anymore problems. This time daddy and Connor were able to join us.

Getting all ready to go out and build a snowman..

and then Connor fell face first in the snow...

and again... poor guy

And by this time he was pretty done and the only person that could settle him down was daddy

So he chilled with dad for a bit while Kaylee and I worked on a snowman

uh oh Daddy is throwing a snowball at Mom!

Connor went down for his nap shortly after and Kaylee and Daddy went sledding at the park while Mom shoveled the driveway.

It was a fun family snow day!

Funny kids that make me laugh

Ha ha I LOVE this kid. He spilled on his clothes and Kaylee was asleep in their room so I put on one of my shirts. Look at that cheeser smile.

Connor is getting soo big. He doesn't like sitting in his high chair anymore and is obsessed with chairs. He pushes the chairs wherever he wants and climbs on the table and cupboard. I frequently find him sitting on the table giving me the biggest grin.

He is almost 17 months and eats everything you give him. He takes two naps one at 10 am in the morning and another one around 1pm. He LOVES his sister and wants to do whatever she is doing. I love seeing his personality develop more and more these days. He is growing up so fast.

Kaylee recently started sticking her tongue out while she works on crafts or concentrates. It is the cutest thing!

Okay so life isn't always smiles and giggles. Connor being the chill guy that he is- still has a few temper tantrums and still on occasion holds his breath and passes out. BUT it is getting better.

Ohhh this cute little sad face just melts your heart. Don't worry I gave him lots and lots of loves after I captured these pictures.

AND this is what happens when Mom is at work. No wonder the kids LOVE LOVE LOVE their dad and ask for him all the time.

Kaylee is such a good helper and could play in the water in the sink all day if I let her.

And that is Connor's favorite book Hop on Pop. He pushes it right on my lap and jumps up and waits for me to read it, and if I don't he gets mad. ha ha

Well, since you can't have too many photo shoots with girls especially, I decided to curl Kaylee's hair and take some photo's.

I love curling Kaylee's hair but it only holds the curl for about an hour and then is flat as a pancake

This little girl has so much personality and is still too smart for her own good.

Kaylee has been really well behaved for the most part but just recently she hit the terrible "almost three year olds". And BOY does she have a sassy attitude. BUT we still love her. :)

Kaylee loves to play crafts especially play dough. She talks like she is a 4 year old and has an amazing memory. She will repeat whatever you tell her and can memorize songs she hears really quickly. While in the car I was trying to explain something to her and at the end said, "Does that make sense Kaylee?" And for the rest of the car ride Kaylee would talk and talk and talk and after each thing she said, she would say, "Does that make sense mom?" ha ha YEP it makes sense Kaylee.

She surprises me everyday with the things she knows and understands. Just the other day she asked me what time it was. I said, "Time for you to get a watch". She said, "No mom, where is the big hand and the little hand?" I asked BJ and he didn't teach her that so I don't know where she got it. Since Kaylee talks and acts so old I sometimes forgets she is still only 2 years old.

I love my Kaylee girl. She also loves to read books, play pretend, play a game we made up called "jungle", and watch shows or play on the Ipad. Her biggest fear is that Connor is going to eat or take her toys and is always handing me things telling me to hide them from Connor.

Kaylee takes a nap at around 1230 everyday and sleeps for a bout an hour. She wakes up around 7pm and goes to bed around 8 pm. She LOVES babysitters and whenever I tell her we are going to have one for a date or something she says, "Are you leaving yet?" Don't worry we don't get babysitters very often and whenever we do she eats pizza and watches a movie so I guess I can't blame her for loving it.
