Jazz date with Connor

Beej & Chris

This last Jazz game I took Connor as my date!

Connor threw his fruit snack wrapper right behind this girl and right as he was about to stick his hand and grab it she leaned back. Connor gave me this look of "How dare she sit on my wrapper" ha ha.
Right before halftime we went and got some frozen yogurt and topped it with almost every topping available ha ha This was by far my favorite part of the date. Connor is talking so much lately and we just had such a great conversation and shared our frozen yogurt while we talked. I love this boy so much!

House Repairs and Improvements

Beej & Chris

After a few months of using our dishwasher as a drying rack we finally decided to get a new one! Instead of paying the $120 for them to install it- we asked our neighbor Mark Haws to come and help us out.
Mark brought his kids Sydney and Carly to come play, and Kaylee and Connor were in Heaven. Connor still prays for Sydney every night in his prayers.
The kids made good use of the big dishwasher box

Along with the new dishwasher we had ordered new carpet that was set to go in the following week. I posted on Facebook how I am just hoping our water heater doesn't go out soon....well guess what happened a few days after posting that.....a very cold shower ;)

The water heater was leaking so we think that is what caused the pilot light to go out, but since we had been told several times that we needed to replace the water heater soon (many years ago) we finally decided it was time.

Needless to say the morning when the water heater went out, both of the kids were naked ready to get in the bath. So...we improvised and warmed up water on the stove and quickly put it in the tub. I yelled off to the kids to run with me before the water cooled down. I hoped in the bath with the kids and we did a really quick scrub down lol

And since the following pictures were taken close to the same date as the others I will include these in this post too.

Connor was begging me to draw a princess for him lol Here is my amazing talent ha ha
Kaylee of course had to pose with the picture

Awwe there is that cute smile

Here are the pictures of our front room with our new carpet!!

The stairs really show how dark the carpet is

We didn't replace the rooms so you can really tell the difference in color. The room carpet isn't the exact same carpet as we had in the halls before- but it was similar in the color of it.
We set up the toddler bed and rearranged a few things in the kids room and the playroom

Yes these kids are spoiled and have a basketball hoop, train table, AND a slide in their room!

Kaylee is so good at posing for all of my pictures ;)

Yay for home improvements......but BOO for the $$$$

Cub Scouts

Beej & Chris

When we first got into the ward I was called to teach in the primary, I then got put into Cub Scouts, went back to the primary for 9 months, and are now back into Cub Scouts ;)

I taught Wolves for a few years and am now helping with the Webelos and are teaching the same boys I taught in Wolves.

These boys can be rambunctious, but they are so sweet at the same time. A few of them bore their testimonies at church this last Sunday and I had never been more proud.

Here are a few pictures of the boys 'holding fire'. We were working on the scientist and was able to go to one of the local High School teachers classroom where he taught the boys a ton while having fun!

Hunter Adamson
Isaac Phillips
? Can't tell who this is
Tristan Rodabough
Brennen Coons

?
One of the other leaders- Miranda Nielson
Michael Haroldsen

Braxton Haslam
Garcia

I believe this is Porter Wright
Some of my other scouts include: Kelson & Bryson Trump, and one of our new boys Alex

Sickness

Beej & Chris

Angela's sweet Camden came down with RSV and Influenza and had to stay two night in the hospital. So scary. We are so glad he is feeling better now and back to his spunky self.
Kaylee and Connor stayed away from RSV and the Influenza, but hit about every other little 'bug' that was going around this winter season. We definitely spent a lot of time at home, but are finally on the mend now and hoping to stay away from sickness for awhile!

Connor
Sweet Kaylee on one of her sick days- you know she is sick if she takes a nap on the couch while watching a movie. This was definitely a snugly day.

Swimming!

Beej & Chris

Since the knee surgery was so hard on the family and took a lot from the kids, we had promised them as soon as I was feeling better that we would take them swimming!

We gathered all of our stuff and stuffed it in a Macey's bag lol. I of course made daddy carry that bag ;)

Isn't that little bum the cutest thing you have ever seen?!

Update on my knees: My knees have been doing a lot better. I was really discouraged at 9 weeks post knee surgery because the pain and swelling was worse than before surgery. When I went to the doctor for a follow up appointment they were hoping I would be doing a lot better than I was so I got nervous that the surgery did nothing to help. I left the doctors in tears.

A few weeks later I realized I had cleaned the whole house without needing to wear my knee straps or having to stop due to pain. It has been a slow process, but I do believe the surgery had helped and I am so happy to report that I have even been grocery shopping without wearing my knee straps (this is a miracle). I continue to go to the gym and have been using the bike to strengthen my muscles as best as I can. Feeling very hopeful!
