Halloween Parker Family Party

Beej & Chris

We had our annual trunk or treat with Christie's extended family and it was the first night the kids were able to dress up for the year.

Teenage mutant ninja turtles

ninjas in a halfshell...

Turtle power!  Thanks to Christie, the car turned out awesome!
We used plastic green table cloths and a red blanket to make the car like Rafael.  Christie also made the poster that we taped on the ground.

Check out Christie's turtle belly!

Carson and Brooklyn (and all of the other cousins) were there as well.

We had a bunch of soup and other food and then let the kids go around and get way too much candy.  It was a lot of fun and the kids had a blast.

Haunted House Suprise

Beej & Chris

I kept giving BJ a hard time that it had been so long since we had been on a date and how I wished he would plan one for us to go on. He surprised me and worked out a date night for us. I was so excited! He told me the date was a secret, but I figured we were probably just going to dinner and a movie. In fact, I was sure of it!

We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and then he started making the drive to SLC. I thought it was weird we were going to a movie in SLC instead of Farmington or Centerville, but thought nothing of it.

He then parked in front of a haunted house called "Castle of Chaos". I was SHOCKED. I started freaking out. "We aren't going there are we?" "BJ you must not know me because I HATE haunted houses. I would never ever CHOOSE to go to a haunted house".

I was shaking and sooooo nervous. BJ was laughing at first but then he realized how scared I really was and felt bad. But he had already spent the money to go and I knew if we didn't it would ruin the night. I told him I had to run to the bathroom, so we stopped at the Chick Fillet next door. The whole walk there I was shaking because I was so scared. I won't lie....I seriously thought about staying in that bathroom stall for awhile so I didn't have to go into that Haunted House!

When we got in line, the nerves got worse. I started saying "Babe, I don't think pregnant women are allowed in haunted houses. What if I have this baby? This stress is going to induce labor. I am so so scared".

BJ was so patient and just tried his best to comfort and distract me. We got into the haunted house and I went into "Defense mode". I didn't get startled hardly at all by people popping out in front of me because I knew they were going to do it. BJ was so calm that he jumped several times. At the very end of the haunted house, they made you get into a "box" by yourself and then closed the door which then turned into a slide. The slide led you to the outside of the haunted house where you were met by a man chasing you with a chainsaw. It was pretty intense. I will admit though....It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was totally exhausted though as we drove home since I was so nervous and had kept my guard up throughout the whole time we were in the haunted house. I definitely slept good that night. Luckily...no bad dreams even. ;)

Austen's Birthday Party

Beej & Chris

Our amazing neighbors the McGavins have a cute little boy just under Connor's age named Austen. Kaylee and Connor both love to play with Austen, and mom likes to talk to Austen's mom Ashley. It is a win win  :)

Austen invited us to join in on his birthday party. They had planned the party to be just outside a firehouse at a park. Shortly before the party I was checking facebook and saw that Ashely had messaged me asking for help. She had locked her keys and cell phone in the car and wasn't sure what to do. Luckily BJ was working from home and went over with me to go and try to help her get her keys out of her locked car. 45 minutes later we finally got them! We then all rushed to the park where everyone was awaiting the birthday boy.

After having some yummy pizza, opening presents, and having some cookies....we got to have a mini tour of the fire station. The kids all thought it was pretty cool to see inside the truck. All the fire fighters were so kind.

They let the kids try to hold some of their heavy equipment which the kids loved

To end the tour they gave all the kids their own hat. It was such a fun idea to do for a birthday, we were excited we were invited to join in on the fun.

Thanks McGavins! Happy Birthday Austen!

Carving Pumpkins

Beej & Chris

For family night, we had our annual pumpkin carving contest.  Dad planned the night, so only the kids had pumpkins to carve.  :)

The kids preferred using spoons to get the guts/seeds out.

Dad got a little hungry

As did Kaylee!

Mom and Kaylee did a cookie monster pumpkin

Connor gave a bit of help as well.

Dad and Connor did a classic look because we're classic guys!

The kids were excited about putting candles in and seeing them light up.

Christie liked using a spoon as well - only BJ dared get his hands dirty!

28 weeks

Beej & Chris

28 week bathroom photo shoot :) ha ha ha
I'm feeling pretty good. Still having some hip pain that hurts when I stand up. I haven't ever had this type of pain that lasted as long as it has during a pregnancy. It feels like my hip keeps going out. Hopefully it doesn't last too much longer. But besides the hip pain I really haven't had too much to complain about. I still feel very blessed to be pregnant and have been trying to enjoy it as much as I can. The baby kicks are harder and happen all the time. It is so fun and comforting to feel those kicks.

Family Fun- Miniature Gofl

Beej & Chris

Connor has been so obsessed with golfing that we decided to take a trip to Cherry Hill (Scary Hill) for a night of miniature golf.

Mom was the champion of the night, but we all had a fun time!

I'm sure there will be more miniature golf in our future!

Preschool Fall Field Trip

Beej & Chris

Since Connor was sick when his class went on their field trip to the pumpkin patch, we joined Kaylee's class.

Class pictures

I love this picture!
All the kids decorating their mini pumpkins

Picking out their pumpkins

"Mom, take a picture!"

I didn't get pictures, but they also had a miniature corn maze that the kids LOVED. We even played hide and go seek with some of Kaylee's class mates. It was a good day.
