Kids say the funniest things...

Beej & Chris

A few memories of my kiddos I wanted to share...

Kaylee:

We have been talking to the kids about their prayers and trying to think of more things to say in them. This last night Kaylee said in her prayer: "Bless people that speak different languages". It made me smile :D

The other day we were playing with cousins and Desiree, Brooklyn and Kaylee were playing together. When the three get together two of them always go off together and leave one of the girls out. They seem to each take a turn being left out. On this particular day it was Desiree that was left out. I went out and talked to Kaylee and told her she needed to go talk to Desiree and see if she could make her feel better. Kaylee went and tried to talk to Desiree but Desiree just got upset and walked away. I went over and asked Kaylee what happened. She said "Mom, I tried to make her happy but she just walked away". I asked her what she said, and she said with a tear in her eye"I told her when I picked up Alexa she tooted and it was a quiet one".  I started laughing and she smiled and said "it really was funny". I LOVED that my daughter tried to make someone else laugh by telling them a toot story. How cute is that?!

Connor:
Told me today that I had to stay home because I didn't give him a penny after he ate his breakfast. He had asked me for one and I told him he wasn't going to get a penny just for eating his breakfast. He gave me this look of anger and said "YOU have to stay home today. You are being bad".

Connor also really struggles with time. Days/years mean nothing to him. I was trying to explain to him that he wouldn't turn 4 until June (another month away). He KNEW he was 4 and I was wrong. He kept telling me "Your wrong! I am 4!!!". I tried to explain several times that he wouldn't turn 4 until next month and he said "I turn 4 tomorrow". It was quite an entertaining discussion.

We were getting ready to Cherry Hill and he insisted on wearing pink water shoes with socks because "Mom- we are supposed to wear socks with shoes". Can you tell I have been teaching him that ha ha. He loves to wear his cowboy boots all the time without socks and it makes them stink. But now he wants to wear socks with his flip flops, and water shoes....

Lastly, I LOVE how he calls me Momma! Not Mom, not mommy....Momma! It is so cute. Here is a picture of us cuddling one night. I was getting ready to go out on a girls night and Connor came out of his room and said "Momma, I wanna cuddle". How can you say "no" to that?!

I have to make silly faces when I take pictures of myself because I think I look funny ha ha

Drive Inn Movie

Beej & Chris

Last minute Drive Inn Movie's are the best!
Silly Faces

The kids had a good time playing Frisbee with mom and dad in the parking lot while we waited for the movie to start. We thought it would be really busy since it was a new movie (Inside Out), but we got lucky and it wasn't too crowded. We stopped at Smiths before and got some snacks and treats for the movie.

oh and yummy drinks....can't go wrong with chocolate milk ;)

All comfy in the car. BJ and I take turns laying in the car with the kids and sitting out in the chair with the baby.
Since it was such last minute we didn't get Dad's amazing homemade popcorn...but the kids enjoyed the bagged popcorn

And just like last time, all the kids were asleep by the end of the first movie...and I kept falling asleep for the second ha ha.

Kaylee's preschool graduation

Beej & Chris

Our sweet Kaylee graduated from her second year of preschool with Mrs. Janet this year, and will start Kindergarten next! Eeek.

Papa Bruce and Grandma Scott were able to come...which of course made Kaylee's day. She was especially happy since she knew both of them went to Connor's preschool graduation and I told her they may not be able to come to both- so she was super excited when they were both able to come see her.

Mrs. Janet asks that we don't bring other siblings to the preschool program...so my amazing friend Miranda (who lives across the street) watched Ashlynn and Connor for Kaylee's program, and watched Kaylee and Ashlynn for Connor's program. Which made the kids feel even more special.
Mrs. Janet
Kaylee and Connor also drew a picture for Mrs. Janet to tell her Thank You.
Kaylee knows all the songs and sings the loudest of her class. She is very confident which I LOVE. I definitely was a lot more shy than Kaylee when I was her age. I hope she keeps the confidence up.

Kaylee loves to be the center of attention and likes any big part. She of course was the first one up to get be the Sun for the song.

Kaylee loves Mrs. Janet and has learned a lot. She read all the books Mrs. Janet sent home and would beg for more each week. They are only allowed to take one book home at a time and she would finish reading the book on her own in the car before we had even left Mrs. Janet's house. So, we started working on books that we have at home. She is learning so much and constantly asking questions so she can learn more.

Connor's Preschool Graduation

Beej & Chris

This cute boy graduated from his first year of preschool this year with his teacher Mrs. Janet.

Grandma Scott came to support (grandpa couldn't make it unfortunately)
Papa Bruce was also able to sneak away from work, but Grandma Sherry couldn't make it either. Hopefully next year :)

Mrs. Janet.

I love seeing him so happy!
The kids and I made Mrs. Janet a wreath to hang on her door for a Thank You at the end of the school year.

Connor can by shy, but he is a really outgoing person if you get to know him. So I was so proud when he got up and said his part in the preschool program. He says it quiet and slow...but is so gosh darn cute. He told the nursery rhyme 'Little boy blue' all by himself.

Connor always sticks his tongue out when he is trying to be silly, when he is concentrating or when he is nervous. It is so cute.

There that little tongue is again...

Connor has learned a lot from preschool. He can write his name now and is sooo good at memorizing things. He listens a lot to his sister and learns without us even realizing it. They have both been working on memorizing the Articles of Faith and we will get to one that Connor hasn't even practiced but he will have been listening to Kaylee practice and will then recite it to us telling us "I already know that one".

Connor is also such a sweet boy. He is friends with everyone. I love that he can get a long with everyone at school. I hope that continues ;)

We are sure proud of our sweet Connor.
