For Christmas Eve, Christie had to work, so we had the kids open their jammies before she left. They had been dying to open presents, so you can see how excited they were.
Kaylee loves the one piece jammies and Connor got some awesome Ninja Turtle jammies!
Dad and the kids also spent some time tracking santa.
Dad took the kids over to his families house in the evening for dinner and fun. We have traditionally gone out to a restaurant, but this year BJ's family decided to change things up and start some new traditions. The kids started out by doing some crafts. They made little ornaments out of popsicle sticks, glue and glitter.
Kaylee and Connor love doing crafts!
Then we opened gifts from people who chose our names. Below is little Light - he's getting so big, but just wanted to eat the wrapping paper.
Kaylee got ponies and Connor got little disc shooters. Their cousins also gave them bath paints.
After presents, we went to a nearby nursing home and sang for them and gave out some of the ornaments that the kids had made. The kids loved it and I think the adults enjoyed it as well. It was something different, but seeing the patients so joyful was a lot of fun.
To finish the night, we visited Temple Square. It ended up being only BJ, Kaylee, Connor and Grandma and Grandpa - the kids loved all the attention!
This was the second year in a row we ran into the grinch.
