Preschool Field Trip to Pumpkin Patch

Beej & Chris

Kaylee's first field trip in preschool was to the pumpkin patch in Farmington
The kids started out by doing a maze in the hay. It was just their size
Kaylee then got to paint herself a pumpkin

We then took a ride out to the pumpkin patch to look at all the pumpkins

Kaylee always finds her way to the teacher (Mrs. Janet) to hold her hand

Seeing all the funny looking pumpkins

Connor snuck into the picture. He sure wishes he could do everything his big sister gets to do
And it wouldn't be preschool without a snack!

Kaylee Dance

Beej & Chris

This sweet boy sure loves watching his sister at dance and always asks to go dance with her. He also begs to go to preschool every time we drop Kaylee off every Tues/Thursday morning.

Kaylee has made a lot of friends with her dance class, and can't wait to show me her dance in a few days at her recital. She didn't want me to see it during her class, and wanted it to be a surprise.

Babysitting Cousins/Crafts

Beej & Chris

My little sister Angela has moved back from Wyoming, and is now staying with the parents in Layton along with her three sweet kids. Since she is separated from her husband, she works full time and needs help with babysitters a lot throughout the week.
I had been helping to watch them once a week while she worked 3-9pm, but after a few times.....having 5 kids 3 and under was a little (a lot) overwhelming.....I told my sister I couldn't do that long every week. So I now am just available to help out here and there.

But here is a picture of the cousins playing at grandma's house while Auntie Christie watched them.
We made snowman out of marshmellows

I sure love this kids, and my kids LOVE their cousins. We hope to hang out with them even more since they live closer to us now!

Potty Training Connor

Beej & Chris

Connor has been saying "I go potty" for awhile now, but I wasn't prepared to potty train him yet. I tried a few times seeing how interested he really was, but conference weekend is when we officially started the training. I figured it would be easier to watch him and help him go potty with BJ's help, and since we were going to be sitting there watching conference all day Saturday and Sunday. He did okay on day 1...I think he peed on the floor a few times, but we got him to sit and pee on the potty once at the end of the day. He has since gone a few times a day.
He LOVES sitting on the potty and uses it as an excuse to get out of anything. He doesn't want to eat dinner "I NEED to go potty mom!", he get's in trouble and is sent to timeout "But MOM, I NEED to go potty!!". Kaylee tried the same thing..."Sorry buddy...I see right through it" ha ha.
Whenever Connor does go potty Kaylee and Mom break out into a potty dance and daddy gives him high praises. Connor's smile is HUGE. He absolutely LOVES the praise.

ha ha random picture...Connor took of himself
Connor wears a pull up when we are at the store or another person's house. He has yet to go potty somewhere besides home, but we aren't rushed. It is frustrating at times with how many pull ups he has gone through (those are expensive man), but it is nice to just relax and watch him figure it out.

The more I push him to go, the less interested he is. Almost every time he has gone in the potty- it has been when he decided on his own to go sit down and go. He started out going on the big potty and the little one on the floor, but when we went to the restaurant the other day and it flushed while he was sitting on it- he got scared. He has since gotten over that fear (thank goodness) and sits on the big potty by himself. He is so little I think he is going to fall right through but he insists on doing it "MY self"
One last laugh to end the post with. Today while he was sitting on the potty, he said to me "The poop is coming out" touches my face and then says "HIDE". ha ha ha It was hilarious.

Elder Nathan Scott

Beej & Chris

I am so proud to announce that my little brother Nathan Scott got his mission call to Rochester, New York Spanish Speaking.

Nathan is such a stud and one of my siblings that I have always been close to. I used to help change his little diapers for heavens sakes. ha ha
But seriously, he is one of a kind. Nate was always the one getting things for everyone, worrying about how others are feeling, very observant and smart in school, and just an overall great person.
I know without a doubt in my mind that he is going to be an amazing servant of the Lord for the next two years. He doesn't leave till the end of February and we are sure going to miss him, but I am beyond excited for him and the journey he is going to take in the next two years.

Love you - soon to be- Elder Nathan Scott

General Conference

Beej & Chris

As per tradition, after the Priesthood session we went out to eat and to BJ's favorite place- Garcia's!
I don't know why, but we kept getting a blurry picture of Kaylee

Oh there we go. Kaylee and Grandma Scott
 Yummy food!
We also kept the tradition of having the match game to help entertain the kids during conference. It sure helps make it possible to hear some of the talks (which were amazing as always!) :)
And we threw this picture in again, because you can't get enough of 'Pumpkin' or uncle Nate making silly faces

U of U vs UCLA

Beej & Chris

U of U vs. UCLA FOOTBALL GAME

BJ's sister Elisa got MUSS tickets for the Utes this season and invited BJ to be the add on to her MUSS ticket. He had to pay for his own season tickets, but it was a pretty good deal especially with them being in the PAC-12. Elisa had a few tests that she had to study for, so she gave me her ticket for the UCLA game to go with BJ.
It was pretty cold but we came prepared so it wasn't too bad.
We had so much fun together!
I love having date nights with BJ. We don't do it as often as I would like. We do watch a lot of movies together at night when the kids are in bed, but going out and watching a football game together was the perfect date.

THANKS ELISA!!!

(This is how crowded it gets after a game on TRAX when it is snowing outside)
