Fun with Cousins

Beej & Chris

We have been spending more time with aunt JQ and her kids these days. Here are some fun pictures of the other day when I got to go babysit for a little bit in the morning.

These kids were so funny with the Mr. Potato toys.

JQ's little boy Ty wore these glasses the WHOLE time I was there.
Later that day we went with Nina and her kids to the splash pad in SLC (I left my phone in my car though so I will have to write more about that later when I can steal some pictures from Nina).

A few days later we went with Aunt Angela and her kids to the splash pad in Layton. We love this splash pad!

Kaylee is so brave....here waiting to get dunked by the water
I love how she waits for the water. So dang cute

Oh yeah, and she had to wear her goggles whenever she got dunked in the water so she could "see" of course!
I tried to get a picture of Angela taking Camden out to get dunked but this is all I got. By the end Desiree got brave and would go with Kaylee. They had a good time.

Taking Kaylee to check on the Baby

Beej & Chris

Kaylee wanted to come with me to "check on the baby" at my last doctors appointment. She was so excited to see the baby with the ultrasound. During the ultrasound the baby jumped up and the doctor said "did you see that jump?".

Kaylee then went home and told dad all about how she say the babies "skeleton arms and legs" and how "the baby jumped!". It was so fun to see her get so excited.

The doctor said everything is looking good. I am starting to feel a lot better. Week 7 was by far the worst. I was so sick that whole week. That is the week I started taking Zofran to help with the nausea. I don't usually ever throw up, but I did this time around and was sick almost every morning. These past two weeks have been a lot better. I still get nauseated if I go a few hours without eating something. Staying on top of eating definitely helps. I was also super duper tired this time around. I kept falling asleep at 830pm. I remember one night BJ and I were going to watch a movie. BJ asked if I was okay and if I could make it. I said, "yeah, I feel wide awake". Not two or three minutes later I woke myself up from snoring!! I NEVER snore! LOL BJ was so supportive and great about it. I apologized and he finished the movie himself.

I still fall asleep pretty quickly and usually by 10 or 1030 at the latest. On a rare occasion I will make it until 11pm but only if I am staying busy (or working).

Connor is still pretty unaware of the baby in the belly idea, but as my stomach grows from this awkward stage of "looks like you ate too many donuts" to an actual pregnant belly- I think he will understand more.  But either way- this time has been so much fun....probably for the pure fact that we have been awaiting this moment for a few years now. But also for the fact that the kids are older and understand more. Sure love these kids.

4th of July Celebrations

Beej & Chris

We started out our 4th of July celebrations in Malad, Idaho.

They kids LOVED getting all the candy thrown to them from the small town parade. They each came home with a huge grocery bag full of candy

After the parade we went to the park for some fun. The kids each participated in the kids races. I didn't take pictures, but will have to share the video's later. After hanging out at the park for a bit, we headed back to Layton to play at the park there and to find a spot for the Layton Fireworks.

We first made a stop at the sports store to buy an umbrella for shade
The kids of course had to take a minute and try out the putting course.

Kaylee showing off her medal (3rd place in the 4 year old kids race)

Hanging out under our new umbrella. We love it!

Spending time with cousins waiting for the fireworks to start.

BJ teaching the kids to step on snaps' with bare feet! Stinker

BJ entertaining all the kids
Connor sure loves his Alexa

We were running out of things for the kids to do, so we took them to the park to feed the ducks.

I ran into Johnathon and Kierston and their kids for a quick second as they were heading off to the car. Baby Sydney had enough off all the noise and was ready to go home.
Isn't Carson's hair awesome
We all cuddled up and watched the fireworks together. It was the BEST part of the night. We would laugh everytime we saw the RED fireworks....just because. The kids loved it. The finale was the best part. Connor covered his eyes because it was so bright and loud- but he kept peeking out to see. It was a lot of fun.
Both kids were sound asleep before we hit the freeway. Doesn't she look comfortable?

So grateful for the time I got to spend with family on this holiday, and so grateful for our freedom and all the amazing and hardworking soldiers out serving our Country.

It was a HOT HOT day, and we were all pretty tired by the end of the day. But we had a great time spending time together.

Water Fun

Beej & Chris

We have been loving going to Cherry Hill this year. Kaylee and Connor love the water. They LOVE the dragon slide and get so giddy everytime we go. Last week I was sick in the morning from the pregnancy and hadn't eaten breakfast. I then craved a sub from subway and stopped and got it on our way to cherry hill. I knew the kids would love their meatball sub there as well and got a foot long for them to share.

Both kids ate their own 6 inch sub. Love how much they love them,

A few days later we went to the Layton Splash Pad with Aunt Kierston and her kids

We only lasted an hour before headed home due to the heat. It was unbelievably hot and we didn't have any shade. Needless to say, we will be bringing shade next time for sure.
