Connor is two weeks old!

Beej & Chris

Connor had his two week check up yesterday and as expected has grown.
Weight: 9lbs 9 ounces = 90%
Height: 21 1/2 inches = 75%
Head Circumference: 15 1/4 inches = 90%

His appointment went pretty good. It didn't help that he was STARVING the moment we got into the doctors office and he of course made sure to let everyone know. But once I fed him- he let the doctor check him all out. I told the doctor that I was concerned with Connor and how he is breathing while laying down. After examining him and seeing how vocal he can be :) she told me that he has what is called Laryngomalacia which is why he makes such loud noises sometimes when he is taking a breathe in. Without going into too much detail laryngomalacia is essentially a softening of the larynx causing the upper larynx to collapse during inhalation. Apparently it is somewhat common in infancy and should get better by 18months at the latest. It causes a loud noise when breathing (sounds like he has gas in his tummy and needs to be burped) and unfortunately it will get louder, but like I said it should also go away later on as well. It is vary rare that it needs to be fixed surgically.

These first 4 pictures are when Connor was a week old.

This is only a sneak preview of all of the newborn pictures we got done. He did soo good and really showed off his already developing personality.

These were just before Connor was a week old.
Don't worry I will be doing another photo shoot here soon. They change sooo much daily it is just crazy.

Kaylee is doing really good with the adjustment to having a little brother and sure loves her "nonner" as she calls him. The first few days were pretty rough. She has always loved Connor but didn't love mom for bringing him home. She wouldn't come to me and only wanted Daddy. It was really really hard. But once BJ went back to work and Kaylee and I got back into our routine of things she was much better. I try to take time with Kaylee when Connor is sleeping everyday which has helped a lot for both of us.
Every morning when I bring Kaylee downstairs she immediately searches for Connor. If he isn't easy to see when she first gets downstairs she starts pulling up blankets searching for him. It is so cute. Sometimes Connor and I will go get Kaylee together and the first thing Kaylee does is give Connor boy a big kiss. She just cant wait till he can crawl and play with her.
Connor likes his bouncer, but Kaylee is still learning how to be soft and not bounce him like crazy. So we have to hide him when he is in the bouncer.
More Kisses
When people would ask him if I was nervous to have two kids under the age of 2. I would respond with "At this point I don't even know what to do with the baby when I go to the bathroom! So it will be quite the adjustment. I am excited for them to be so close even if it is hard for a little bit". Well after a few days of trying to get Kaylee to be soft and not shake poor Connor too bad- we discovered the play pen.
Connor hiding away or having what he tell Kaylee "Connor time".
Here is a picture of the new and improved Tenney family. Yes having two young kids is a lot of work. There is a lot of sleepless nights and going out of the home is challenging. But the rewards of these two amazing children of God is beyond worth it! Kaylee is getting cuter and cuter everyday as is Connor. They both just radiate love and warmth. BJ and I both feel soo blessed to have one another and Kaylee and Connor. Thank you to all the family and friends that have come to visit and bring us dinner. We can't tell you enough how much we appreciated it!!
