Hospital

Beej & Chris

Grandma & Grandpa Scott and uncle Nate came to visit at the hospital and brought Kaylee with them. Kaylee was really really tired so she rode up to our recovery room with Connor and I in the wheelchair.
Kaylee rubbed Connor's head and said "soff...soff" (soft). She did however poke his eye once. I think she wanted him to open his eyes so she figured a little poke would do the trick.

Kaylee couldn't take her eyes off of Connor. I think they are going to become best friends before we know it!

The new and improved Tenney family!

Connor getting ready for his first sponge bath at the hospital.

Look at him reach up to his daddy

BJ did a great job giving Connor his first bath despite Connor giving him a hard time by screaming the whole time. Needless to say he took a good long nap afterwards!

Grandma Scott brought Kaylee to come visit us at the hospital the following day after Connor boy was born. Every time Grandma would hold Connor, Kaylee would jump on her lap. She wasn't jealous at all ;)
Connor gave Kaylee her very own baby to take care of. The baby came with a stethoscope, bottle, and some other medical supplies (Kaylee- future nurse?)

Kaylee and daddy listening to each other's hearts.

Daddy bonding time. Eskimo kisses

BJ- CUTEST dad ever!

Mommy bonding time :)

Connor by the window to get some good ole' Vitamin D. His bilirubin came back a little high so a little sun couldn't hurt right?! (even though in this picture the sun had already moved away).
I was going stir crazy in the room so Connor, BJ and I took a little walk around the postpartum unit.

Getting ready to go home! YEAH!

When we got home we found Kaylee sound asleep on the love sac in the front room.

My mom was AMAZING and watched Kaylee the 2 1/2 days we were in the hospital so BJ could stay with me and Connor boy. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all that you did for our sweet Kaylee.
Remember what I said earlier about Kaylee and Grandma Scott...not jealous at all ;)
We went and got Connor's bilirubin rechecked the day after we got home from the hospital and even though it had increased a little bit it wasn't concerning to the doctor so he didn't need a bili blanket or to get checked again. We then saw our regular pediatrician the following Tuesday (just one day shy of him being a week old) for a follow up appointment. Dr. Fruin was super surprised that Connor had not lost any weight and in fact increased his weight from 8 lbs 15 ounces to an even 9 lbs. Connor is definitely an amazing nurser. What can I say, the boy likes his food :)

Christie,
Thank you for your comment on my blog. I follow yours too! What a cute little family you have. You are a champ for going all natural for Connor. If your life slows down in the next little while, we should have a play date.
