What do you think....Boy or Girl?!?

Beej & Chris

I got to meet my new OBGYN today and was very impressed. Dr. Natalie Loewen is her name and she is so kind! Even though it was soo stressful changing doctors, I am so happy that we did. The appointment went really good, and I got an ultrasound! I wasn't sure if she would do one or not- because it totally depends on the doctor. So I was super excited when they told us that we would be getting an ultrasound done. She took her time and took lots of pictures for me! I loved it!

Our sweet little baby is definitely a mover. He was all over the place. Dr. Loewen kept trying to find out the gender and just as she was about to get a glimpse- the baby would move. But after awhile she was finally able to see what she needed to see. It was really funny how she told us- she said, "Ya- I am pretty sure that is not a finger!" She did however tell us beforehand not to buy anything until the official 20 week ultrasound in case she was wrong. But by the end she was pretty convinced it was a boy and so am I.

We are very excited!!! Now- I need to think of some cute boy names :)

16 1/2 weeks Prego

Beej & Chris

Wow- I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has been going. On Thursday we finally get to see the doctor. It will have been well over 6 weeks since I have seen a doctor and I am dying to hear the heart beat and hopefully see our sweet little babies picture. It is a long story but this will be the first time we meet this doctor and we don't know anything about her except that she delivers at IMC. So we are praying that we like her and she is a trustworthy and good doctor.
Ok So here are a few pictures. ha ha I don't EVER do this. But I have been giving my friends that are pregnant a hard time for not putting up belly pictures. So I decided I better put up a few.

This is the bathroom mirror shot.

ha ha the light switch shot

The whoops it just took the picture shot

and the belly shot

Ok so the shirt I am wearing is NOT a pregnant shirt- although it totally looks like one. But when I get farther a long and the upper part of my body grows..this shirt no longer fits. So I figured I better wear it now while I can. It does make my belly look bigger than it really is in a few of the pictures. I do however have a small baby bump. I no longer just look fat. You definitely get that baby bump a lot faster with the second pregnancy that is for sure.

I am still wearing my skinnier pants but with a belly band. My goal with this pregnancy is to try to wear those pants as long as possible. I got into maternity pants too early and quickly grew without realizing it. So if I wear my nice fitting pants than as it gets tight I will remember to hold off on the sweets a little bit more. I know eventually I wont wear them- but here is to not gaining as much weight as I did with the last pregnancy. Cause it sure is hard to get off. In fact I finally lost it all the first few weeks of this pregnancy because I was so sick. ha isn't that nice :)

As far as how I am feeling. Right now EXCITED. I can't wait! I am sure things will change as time goes on- but right now I can't wait to see this baby and watch Kaylee and her sibling grow up together.

New Years Eve!!

Beej & Chris

We started out our New Years Eve with a yummy and BIG dinner over at JC and Anya's house. Anya's friend was also there (I can't remember her name though).

This picture doesn't even do it justice. We had a Turkey, chocolate cake, three different kinds of Russian salads, a regular green salad, yummy cheesy tortellini and I can't remember if there was anything else. It was very yummy! We then played a game together and tried to keep Kaylee out of everything at their house :) We snuck out a little early to head to my parents house to ring in the new year. We had a lot of fun! Thanks JC and Anya for inviting us over!!!

This is BJ watching sports :)

Me and my sister (we are both pregnant together again...just lounging)

Kaylee playing with the big girls. She kept stealing the cards and they would grab them back from her. It was cute.

I think my favorite part of New Years Eve besides being with BJ all night long playing and having fun together; was playing cards after midnight with my mom, dad, and little brother Nathan. We were all so tired and hyper. My mom was soo funny. She has some good "gangster" moves that none of us had ever known about. ha ha ha

We ended up staying the night at my parents house and spend most of New Years day with them as well. Some of our good family friends the Bradfields came over and played games with us on New Years day. It was a lot of fun. I was pretty tired after it all though and was happy to head home to get to bed.

Christie's
NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS
I don't always make New Year's Resolutions, but this year I had a few things I want to work on and why not make it a resolution. I know that statistic of people keeping their resolutions is pretty low so that made me want to do it even more. It is a challenge and hopefully I will be of the few that does keep my resolution. These may seem silly to some and ones that nobody has issues with- but they are just a few things I want to work on.
1- Only one hour of tv during the day UNLESS I am sick :) (I mostly have it on for the noise- but some days I catch myself watching stupid things when I could be doing a lot more productive things with my time. Plus I can just turn on music. Music is even better!)
2- Only 2 hours of computer during the day. I use the computer for blogging and for getting things ready for Cub Scouts. But I also waste a lot of time on it on facebook and playing ridiculous games.
3- Read the New Testament before 2012. I really like readying my scriptures but I am not that good at it. I feel very behind in my scriptural knowledge. It always makes me feel better when I read my scriptures and this goal will help me to continue to do that!
Happy New Year Everyone

Kaylee's very first Christmas!

Beej & Chris

Well not only did BJ and I get spoiled with our new TV, Kaylee got even more spoiled and it wasn't all us. She has some very generous and amazing grandparents who love to spoil her.

It was fun to see Kaylee open her presents. She never got sick of ripping that paper. A few things that Kaylee got for Christmas are; her very own phone, two baby dolls that she loves to cuddle with, a tea set that teaches her please and thank you, a vacuum, a Fisher price "The farmer says" where she learns animal sounds, and some clothes and a book.

BJ got a new pair of jeans and some tools (drill & circular saw) to work on the garage. He wants to organize it and put some shelving in.

I got some new pj's, new scrubs, some church DVD's, oh and a portable seat heater that you can plug into the car :) I love being warm!

We opened presents at home and put Grandma Tenney on Skype so Kaylee can talk with her and show her all the fun presents she got. Grandma Tenney gave Kaylee her new phone that she carries with her everywhere, as well as a toy that has a train track on it and has lots of toys attached to it as well as fun music (we accidentally opened it a little early though :) We also got spoiled and got some yummy yummy gift cards to Olive Garden, Subway & the Outback. Thank you Grandma Tenney.

We then headed to BJ's parents house where we worked on puzzles and played games. We had already received the gift from BJ's parents earlier. They gave us cold hard cash to spend on whatever we wanted. Gotta love that!

After the Tenney home- we headed to my house for a quick visit and then we all headed to Idaho to visit with my grandparents with my whole family. It was a fun day! We enjoyed all the time with family. I love Christmas time. Not because of all the presents- even though that is fun too. But I love the feeling of Christmas. I love how Christ-centered people are. I LOVE listening to Christmas music and the feeling it gives me. I always get the most excited for my friends or family to open the Christmas gifts that I gave to them. I love seeing their face. I hope as the years continue that BJ and I can set an example to our kids about the true meaning of Christmas.

BJ's Work Party

Beej & Chris

BJ started a new job a few months ago as many of you know. Even though he was new, we still got to participate in Mind Share's awesome work parties!!! Seriously AWESOME!

The first party was for couples only, and was held at Market Street Grill.
We didn't get any pictures, but it was magnificent. Neither BJ and I had ever been there before so it was a lot of fun. I got to meet some of the people BJ works with and we ate some yummy appetizers and the best Clam Chowder we have ever had. Unfortunately we had to run off before the main course because we had tickets to go to the Forgotten Carols. We can't wait till next year.

The second party was held at Costco and was for the whole family. They started the party before Costo had even opened, and provided us breakfast. They had Santa and and elf there for the kids to meet. Kaylee wasn't too sure about either one of them- but especially Santa.

Look how excited Kaylee is!!

Here is a picture of the Elf giving BJ his Christmas gift.
$500 gift certificate to COSTCO. WOW- we got spoiled!!! They have made this a tradition for the last few years, they give these gift cards to all of the employees at Mind Share. I have only been to Costco once so I was just in awe as we walked around the store. There was soo much! HUGE packages of chap stick and even Jazz tickets. They have everything! We knew that BJ would be getting this gift card and we had already talked about getting a camcorder. So that was our plan. We were going to buy a camcorder. So after breakfast as they opened the store to the general public, they set us free to go shopping with our gift cards. FUN huh! BJ looks at me and says, "Wanna just go look at the tv's". he he Since it was BJ's work and his gift card I of course agreed. Needless to say instead of walking out of Costco with a camcorder, we walked out with a new 47 inch VIZIO big screen tv. I really thought our 32 inch tv before was big. WOW- 47 inches is HUGE. BJ has always wanted a big screen tv and I am really happy we got it. BJ gives up a lot and is always saving his money or buying for me or Kaylee. He deserves a big screen tv. Kaylee and I will just have to deal with it ;)

Christmas Eve

Beej & Chris

For Christmas Eve we have a tradition to go out to eat with BJ's parents and then to go see the lights at Temple Square. This year as well as last year, we went to Red Robin. We all exchanged names for presents. BJ's sister Elisa had my name and BJ's sister JQ had BJ's name. Kaylee got a fun game from Grandma Sherry as well.

Elisa got me a earrings and a cute place to hang all my earring and necklaces.

BJ got a new wallet!

Kaylee was trying to figure out what to order for dinner.

After dinner we got all bundled up and headed to temple square. A few months ago someone dropped off a box of clothes for us. And one of the things we got was this cute snow suit for Kaylee. She looks like a little Sumo Wrestler.

Needless to say we had to help her walk with her sumo outfit on.

What a stud. He put Kaylee's blanket in his coat to get it warm for Kaylee.

Our family photo- BJ is in the middle of talking so that is why his mouth looks like it does. But it took a lot to get Kaylee to sit for this picture, so we didn't attempt it again.
