The morning when the Sod was delivered was pretty exciting at our house!

Ashlynn sure is lucky to have her siblings show her how to smile for the camera :)

These two hooligans are pretty tight. Ashlynn loves hanging out with Connor. He is just so patient and kind with her. She pretty much gets to do whatever she wants when she is with Connor- so obviously she is a big fan of that. But really, he is such a sweet and tender hearted little boy.

We were lucky and had Papa Bruce come over to help lay sod. Bruce is the kindest man. It doesn't matter how busy he is, he will drop everything to come and help. It also doesn't matter if the service is killing his back, he will continue to work hard without a single complaint. I tried my hardest to have him run around with the kids while I got down and did the hard work, but he insisted on helping and of course doing the hard work of cutting the sod.

It started out with just BJ, Bruce and I...but not to long into it we had the neighbors come over as well as a co-worker from BJ's work, his brother and wife, and our friend Mike. We also had the McGavins stop by when they could, but we had already finished otherwise they would have been there helping as well.

Kaylee wasn't afraid to jump right in to help. She got filthy, but of course loved every minute of it. I didn't get a picture of it but Kaylee picked up one of the sod pieces all rolled up and layed it down all by herself! I was so impressed!!

We provided some pizza after all the sod was layed along with some fruit and water

Doesn't that look soooo good! Ahhhh, grass is the best!

Kaylee of course heard that we needed to water the grass so she ran inside and got her swim suit on so she could ride her bike through on the sidewalk through the sprinklers. Being a kid is the best!
